2021 Playoffs Discussion Thread

The oilers are a team that are not built for the playoffs (I don't like the idea of playoff built teams, but the oilers were an obvious example of a non "playoff built" team). They have terrible depth. All it would take for them to come crashing down was McDavid or Draisitl to hit a scoring slump, and that is exactly what is happening now. On paper, the oilers were better, but games aren't played on paper. It doesn't help Helly is back to vesina form.

That is a very true but I expected McDavid and Draisaitl to keep up their scoring rampage.

But you made a great prediction with that series. Well done

Well, I made several brackets, and some of them I DID have the oilers winning, so I can't take full credit for predicting that the jets would win.

But I did have the jets in the capfriendly bracket challenge, I guess (not that I'll do well though, for some reason I had the caps winning the cup grimace ).

I like how important roles my fellow Finns have in this Preds-Canes series. They're at the absolute top in terms of importance in both teams.

People were talking about Winnipeg being likely to beat Edmonton for the biggest upset in round 1 ... if Nashville beats Carolina, that would be a bigger upset IMO.

Yet another heartbreaking double OT loss. Hamilton was gawd awful today. Hopefully we can regroup and pick back up for Game 5.

Blues want to stay alive really bad, which I admire. But I also desperately want the Avalanche to sweep because that's what I predicted. We'll see who comes out on top.

Well now that we’re a bit in, looking back at my official bracket, picking Avs, Vegas, Boston all seem to have done great, Pens, Leafs, Canes all have done good while Oilers and Panthers looking like busts
