Description

Couldn't beat Rask last year, can't beat Vasilevskiy this year. Sure, they're both top 5 goalies of this generation, but nobody even wants to shoot the puck outside of Hamilton. We need a pure shooter. Trying to buy low on Laine is another option, but I'd rather keep all of Necas, Jarvis, and Pesce.

Jake Bean is left unsigned because he is my projected Seattle pick after protecting Slavin-Pesce-Skjei and having a handshake agreement with Hamilton before the ED to not pick up Seattle's number.

Jarvis and Suzuki are interchangeable.

Pass on Hamilton, much like against Washington in 18-19, he is getting owned in this series. Good luck to any team willing to pay him 8 million plus.

Turbo shouldn’t be traded. Save the money with Hamilton and get 2 other top 6 forwards.

Seriously doubt Hoffman is that guy. Giving Ned 4 x 5 is a mistake

I agree the top 6 needs a change but I don’t think turbo is the guy to go. I’d also expect ned to get a shorter deal seeing as he has only really done it for half a shortened season. Hamilton contract is a bit rich for my killing but at the end of the day the canes can’t afford to lose him for nothing

Canes are playing a Corsi game not a game to win. Their shots lack danger. They are playing in the umbrella with no bodies in front of Vas. I don’t think Vas has stood on his head or made a ton of spectacular saves. He hasn’t had to because the shots are coming in easy.

Dougie is getting beat a lot. I hope we pass on the sticker price.

I'd be hesitant, but willing, to move Fiala for a legitimate first line center but Teravainen plays wing. Seems like a mostly lateral move to me.

Carolina likes that bank pass to the front of the net and I think Tampa's figured that out. Their D are collapsing around the net every time the hurricanes get deep. Florida got some past Vasy by forechecking hard and being extremely physical in the boards. Tampa sometimes have the tendency to get stuck in their own zone when their defensemen are stuck in board battles cause they usually get one of their forewords hiding around the red line so it'll be an odd man battle. Vasy's on another level this year though so iunno

Honestly i think one of the problems is a guy you identified. Any team playing hamilton 24 minutes a night in the playoffs isn’t going anywhere. He’s just not that kind of guy. He has his skill set, and it’s useful, but 24 minutes a night....he’ll just get eaten alive against deep teams.

But this trade is an absolute fleece in your favor, it would be pretty dumb to say no. Kaprizov with a legit 1C and Teravainen would be a top 5 line in this league.

I wouldn’t make the move but Tuevo is THE comparable for Fiala. So I find this a bit funny.

tuevo was hurt most of the year. he's also a playmaker, and one of the better ones in the league. and even last year, a sniper will obviously have more goals than a playmaker.
