1. Bertuzzi injury holds salary and term down
2. Cholowski, Smith, Svechnikov, Lindstrom, and GR filler qualified
3. Erne gets a "show me" contract and a raise
4. Hronek gets a bridge deal
5. Rasmussen gets Glendenning money
6. Vrana gets Mantha deal
7. Jones trade dependent on contract extension signed
8. Marner trade cause Toronto needs cap space to build better supporting cast and can use some picks
9. Yandle trade cause Florida cutting costs ordered by management while trying to maintain core. If Staal was worth a 2nd for 1 year at 5.7M, Yandle should yield a 1st for 2 years at 6.4M
10. At trade deadline move Ryan and one of the LD and bring up Raymond and Johansson

Moves result in better defense and more offense while maintaining high picks and cap space

Heck No, Why would Jones leave Columbus for a even worse Detroit team? And i'm sure as hell aren't giving up Berggren for for a grossly overpaid Mitch Marner. And technically we've our future Mitch Marner his name is Lucas Raymond.

This just destroyed the Wings look at that left defense and tell me they can get you in the playoffs. We will miss the playoffs with this team and lost a ton of youth in the process.

Yeah, I'm not sure if this team even makes it to the playoffs in the Atlantic. Ruining your rebuild for the chance of making the playoffs is a good way to become a perennial middle of the pack team. It's not worth

Marner has 4 years left on his deal and I cant see Detroit having to give out any huge deals in the next few years. They could fit him in. I don't think Detroit should trade for him but that package doesn't even come close.

Why? Hronek is the only moderately interesting piece in that entire package. Stecher doesn't fit the team timeline and the 1st is a late one like the two others we've already got.
