Alright. I'm curious, did you gather any data on which teams here are most likely to sign a player (meaning that would Coleman be the no. 1 player on the list if 75% of the Leafs posts didn't have him sign there since the Leafs posts are the most commonplace here?)

It's legit.
Not peer reviewed or anything. But real.

Worth noting that I am using weighted figures. Since some teams post many more AGCMs than others, their activity gets weighted down. Other teams with less activity would be weighted up. I say this to a Leafs fan because in an unweighted sample, Hyman jumps to #3 on that list above.

I have not done any sort of conjoint analysis if that is what you mean (ie, if I take the Leafs out of the Coleman market, what impact that has to his salary).

I can say that the teams most likely adding Coleman to their ACGMs are:

1. EDM
2. DAL
3. TOR
4. NJD
5. TBL
6. PIT
7. STL

One thing I really miss about CapGeek was they did this automatically.

They had a trends page which showed how much and how often a player was signed.

Yeah I worded my question poorly there, my b. Should've asked that is your data team relative or just most recent posts, as there is certainly a different amount of Oilers posts compared to Yotes posts for example.

Maybe someone should put this in the suggestion forum. It'd certainly be interesting info in here, and a popular addition as well.

The unweighted case file has different amount for each team.
Some teams produce much fewer ACGMs.
Some teams producer much more.
The weighted case file, from which I extrapolate this figures, has closer number of cases for each team. But still a gap.

I’m not sure if you covered this earlier and I missed it, but did you pull this manually or have a bot do it, or is the data stored in a place where the general public can’t see or something? Regardless, very interesting data! You can tell guys like Oleksiak keep getting underpaid by people tryna sign him to a 2x2 lol

There are infinite numbers of data-points that could be interesting.
They do have 'most commonly bought out contracts'

I imagine it would be easy addition to add:
a. Most commonly signed UFAs
b. Most commonly traded players
c. Average term and salary

And so forth.
One could worry about people trying to manipulate it though.

My recommendation would be to create prediction market among, say, top-1000 users.
Those that are most wrong fall out
