@Dzinger18

What would Carolina be willing to give for Klingberg half retained next year?

I could potentially see Ryan Suzuki, Brady Skjei (If they'd be willing to take him), and a 2022 1st Round Pick for Klingberg half retained. Let me know if you think we should add or if you would be interested in any other specific pieces.

I’d be on board with that if a third team can take Skjei. Would adding Gunler be too much? If so what could we add to make it fair?

Something like:

To Canes:
Klinger 50% retained
Extra piece if Gunler is too much to give up

To Dallas:
Suzuki
Gunler
2022 (CAR) first round pick

To third team:
Skjei
2022 (DAL) second or third depending on how the third team sees Skjei

I like that a lot. Maybe for the extra piece coming our way, I could see a guy like Jason Dickinson if you're willing to give him up. I think we would also be happy with a younger guy like Caamano or L'Esperance.

Dickinson could work.

Ok, then I think the Canes would definitely be open to doing that trade. When would this trade occur? If it's past free agency, how much would you resign Dickinson for?

Probably a 2x2. Could possibly add an extra year on it. I see this happening at the TDL if we are out of a playoff spot.

Canes would probably love that. Great contract for a solid bottom 6 guy. I could see him taking the place of Warren Foegele as a cheaper option. I think we need to move on from Foegele too. He would be better off for more ice time with a rebuilding younger team.

K so good news for people unimpressed with Toronto's assistant coaches

Other teams have requested meetings with them to provide oppertunities

now this could be very beneficial for us as I think Dubas priority should be to get 2 experienced assistant coaches behind the bench for keefe

My thoughts RN after hearing this

Boudreau as the PP coach
Dave Haksol stays as the PK coach
Doug Gilmour eyes in the Sky Coach (get these kids that KILLA INSTICT)

I'd like Miles Wood

Easily top 10 fastest straight line skaters in the league. 25G pace over an 82 game season while playing most of the season with McLeod and Bastian. I see why Woody would be in high demand. Pending RFA, though. But, Leafs will still be interested.

RNH landing spot will be interesting storyline to follow this summer. I think BOS will be all over him. But, a lot of teams would love a legit #2 C.

If Kaprizov and Minnesota really can't come to an agreement, do you see Minny trading kaprizov's rights to an interested team?

Also which of the final 4 teams do you think has the brightest future?

I love it.

Only thing is, the coach of interest is probably Hasktol though. But I would love that if that happened

apparently all have got interest from other teams

Malhotra would make a good coach in the sky, I still think he can be a good pp coach and with a longer training cap lets see what he can do, MacLean was almost coach of the year twice and could bring valuable insight into a young rebuilding team

I could defiantly see Maclean drawing interest.

Personally I don't know why a team would want Malhotra, the pp was horrid this year, but I'd be happy if someone did.

the thing was for the first 20 games it was incredible then it all went south, 40% first 20, 20% at the end of the season

something went wrong and through watching it was mostly on the players as how the **** was unit 2 with old guys doing better than unit 1 loaded with the big 4 and Rielly. Malhortra put the big boyz together and did a bunch of other changes but it seemed nothing was working

I have a feeling with more time and effort we will see a strong pp out of this group. no more pass pass pass.

1. St Louis
2. Florida

Tkachuck-Schenn-Tarasenko or Tkachuck-O'Rielly-Perron

What do you guys think the Caps should do with Kuzy?

I think they should hold on to him as they will get pennies on the dollar.

I also think he will have a huge bounce back season.

If the Caps don' get Eichel (they wont) I want to hold on to Kuzy.

Well the caps have 9mil in cap space as of now for next year and Ovi is a UFA, he'd take most of the money so trading Kuznetsov would make sense

Trade him. I could see a team like Columbus who is desperate for a 1C fetch a big package for him. Don't know the exact pieces, but I am pretty sure they would offer a lot. Caps are in a cap crunch too (no pun intended), so they'll need to clear up some cap space to sign Ovi.

Trade him. Alot of teams need centers so Kuzy could have a good amount of value.

NY, Minnesota, Vegas, Columbus are the teams that could be the most interested
