I'm honestly leaning towards Seattle. I know the rumors of his asking price. But for what he does, for what he brings, and the fact he has those leadership qualities. Francis may just go I want that guy. Plus if he is going the slow patient route a guy like Hyman kind of makes sense for his leadership and character. Also I think Francis gets Hyman on 5x5 deal if this does happen.

If not Edmonton as if Holland is actually willing to give up a 3rd for his rights if I'm Dubas take it and run.

I don't think he would, there's a lot of good forwards to choose from . I'm thinking edmonton/CGY

Holland goes to Dubas

I give you third for his rights

Done

Signs him to 6x6 contract

3 years later (Hyman suffers 2 leg injuries and basically becomes Okoposo)

Holland: Calls Dubas or whoever's GM

So any chance you want Hyman back

Sure give us a 1st and we will take him back

Great thanks

Next day

**** I DID IT AGAIN

There was a report by someone from the Edmonton Journal weeks ago discussing how much Holland wants Hyman and how the implications for this are not looking good. Also reports from Leafs Updates said the same thing

Like reports are from various people Holland is willing to give Hyman 6x6mill and give a 3rd for his rights. Seems high but with almost every team interested Holland may be biting the bullet and trying to cut the line and get Hyman all for himself. As sure some may say go get him in free agency for free what if Seattle or Calgary come in and offer more.

Dont think any contract above 4 years is smart but with Hyman wanting 6-8 years at 6-7mill lets see who has the balls to sign him and regret it in 2years

Got a link for any of these reports? Regarding the 3rd round pick, that is. I've seen plenty about potential offers, nothing about trading a 3rd for his rights.

Trade for Seth Jones (sign and trade)
Get Eichel/Reinhart or be patient. Rossi might be ready in 1-2 years.
They gotta rebuild. Blow it up.
Vancouver
Trade Seth Jones to LA (extension) for Vilardi + 8th pick. Draft Johnson and Clarke. Sign Danult. Tank in 2022-24
1. Power 2. Beniers 3. Guenther 4. LUKE 5. Clarke 6. Edvinsson 7. Wallstedt 8. Johnson 9. Lysell 10. McTavish
Ovi to NJ (in my dreams), I think most of the big name free agents stay, the mid tier free agents will sign with new teams

Ovi to CGY (in my dreams)

I know Toronto and Detroit usually ran these tournaments together and surprised St Louis and Dallas came in. Maybe these teams will join in later.

Been to one a few years ago watching Robertson play was fun.

What are some players that are "locks" or close to it for the expansion draft?

For me it's Max Domi, Jake Bean, Chris Driedger, Mason Appleton, and Kaapo Kaakonen

Issue with Domi had surgery so won't be available for the start of the season

For me

Kerfoot (forgot, Friedman and Johnson both said Seattle loves this guy, Francis has been very interested in him since day 1, and his playoff performance increased his value, and they got two former leaf coaches)
Petterson (steal of contract)
Dillion (same as petterson)
Bailey (Lou with gm of the year ideas)
Dillion Demelo best RD option available rn

Dillon's LD. And can't see any chance why McCann wouldn't be Kraken's pick unless there is a side deal involved.

I wonder if this is the draft order. And if it is what is it based on?

I said the wrong name lul Dylan Demelo is the best RD option this draft unless Francis persue's Hamilton.

I'd rather take Appleton honestly. He's dirt cheap and was in close to 40 points pace on a normal year.
