Definite pass on Gourde for that cost on that contract. Take out Beckman for sure, and the 2nd as well, and it's closer.

No disrespect but yanni gourds isn't worth that. He wwouldn't even be 3rd goal scorer on wild during regular season. He would be behind kaprizov, fiala, Joel Eriksson Ek, Zuccarello, etc..

Take out Adam Beckman or Alexander khovanov. You aren't getting both for yanni gourde

I think Gourde is extremely underrated, and the contract really isn't that bad honestly. I think taking Beckman out is enough, the 2nd would probably have to stay to get it done.

Extremely underrated? He's an average middle six player, he makes almost 5.2M for four more years. His contract isn't good.

He'd be the second best centre we have for now, and could easily play on any of the top 3 lines, depending on where Rossi ends up or if they want Ek in the top 6. You're right though I would take out Beckman and do just Khovanov and a 2nd.

Dumping Parise will cost Minnesota substantially more than one late 1st. Wings will easily reach cap floor after RFA's are signed and unrestricted free agency. Even if they did need help reaching floor they could find much better options than this garbage. One late 1st for 8 years of cap penalty and in particular 6 and 7+M cap penalties in years 2 through 4 lmao. And they have to shell out millions of dollars to Parise for nothing

Prob closer to 2 firsts and a cap dump like rask. This year's Minny or Pitt first + next year's 2022 1st + Parise for FC

If it cost Toronto a 1st to buy out Marleau for one year 6.25 cap hit and a little over 1.5 million in real cash, it cost a lot more to take ok n 8 years and over 23 million in cap hits over 8 years.

Also please stop saying Wings need to hit the cap floor. They have Bertuzzi, Hronek, Vrana, Rasmussen and Er e to sign. Besides that they have to sign a 2bd goalie, Bernier and abot 8 players to fill out the roster. There should be no problem getting to 62 million

Detroit declines, that millstone of a contract cannot be bought out.

Just going to leave this here.
Years 2, 3, and 4 are way too brutal on the cap to buy out Parise unless the compensation is multiple 1sts and/or prospects with game-breaking potential.
