This is probably true. Also, WSH just re-signed Sheary, so it would be rude of them to trade him, this offseason. But if he struggles, or does cocaine, you could ask at the deadline.

Regardless of what moves are made to improve the forward depth, is there legitimate belief that some combination of Mrazek/Campbell will be good enough? There's always a chance, but I honestly wouldn't bet on it.

He doesn't. Just... you know, that's what it takes to get trade rumors for Capitals players. Otherwise they're a perennial playoff team with no players anybody else remotely wants. But if he did cocaine, every team would want him, for the right price. Do you even CapFriendly?
