That's a really good offer for Toff but I think the Habs could get more or something that fits their needs somewhere else to be honest. Smith is of no value to MTL but I understand he's there to make the money work.

Swap Snith and the first with Theodore and a 2nd and Montreal would trade you Toffoli but we aren't trading him for Smith and a really late 1st.

Theodore > Muzzin, and Vegas adds? WTF?

Whole thing is a mess. Trades for sake of trading with no goal in mind. In the end still way over the cap with a 20 man roster.

You could always eat half and then flip. There would be a pretty decent market for Smith at 2.125. Snagging a extra 2nd rounder would make that trade pretty nice

As much as I love Muzzin… wow. Leafs accept this in a heartbeat. Why in the world would you trade Theadore? Seriously? Thats like giving out your SIN over the phone to the Border Security Agency who say you have a warrant for your arrest unless you give them $2000 in gift cards. You just don’t do that.

This whole thing is a mess but not only would the pens not do that because they’d value Carter much higher than Dadanov, but this would put the pens way over the cap.
