Honestly both teams will hate it but I think it’s fair. Generational Dman for Generational centre. I was thinking yesterday about what if Makar and McDavid played together lol

Drai wouldn't look near as good not stapled to McDavid on the power play and the avs defence would be much worse

Draisaitl isn't a generational center though. He's a very good center and a 'generational' winger when he plays with mcdavid

If Byram stays healthy and would continue how he started the season, losing makar wouldn't be as tough to swallow

yea byram looking like another makar but he's still a rookie and avs are competing now. in the longrun maybe it's not as bad but in the short run i think it makes the avs chances worse.

I watched the game yesterday and Makar is amazing . He’s better than Karlsson at the same age IMO and I was a massive Karlsson fan

What do you term generational? I guess I'd say it's one guy in a generation. So we get to pick 1 guy plus/minus 15 years (30 total if you got back in history and project into the future) and you pick Draisaitl over McDavid/Crosby? I'd probably pick one of McDavid or Crosby. Drai deserves consideration though.

Those 2 guys are generational. Obviously they’re better than Drai but Drai is right there behind them

Well, generational players generally dont need to be hooked to other generational players to score 66% of their points, so there's that.
