Dubois is untouchable for Winnipeg. The Jets don't even discuss the offer before turning it down.

So you think Carolina is going to miss the playoffs and that pick will be #1 overall? (you added CAR's 1st not MTL's 1st)

Not really, for one, Montreal's 1st isn't being offered here. Secondly, with the way Dubois is playing, the odds of getting a player that comes into the NHL at that same level or better are pretty slim. Why should Winnipeg trade a sure thing for a maybe?

If it was first overall, then it's definitely worth a discussion. We have no idea how good Shane Wright will be, but it is likely that he will be a great player.
As a Jets fan, I really do love PLD though. But I'm trying to be as unbiased as possible and getting Shane Wright for him would be a pretty big W
Also, he shoots right!!! A big deal for Winnipeg haha

Im assuming its the 1st overall as thinking its the Carolina pick is just silly. Not sure why anyone would think tis that one.

Shane Wright............. and Cristian Dvorak and Jesse Ylonen. I'm a Habs fan and I would not touch this with a ten foot pole. This is a terrible trade for the Habs and the sole purpose is to acquire a Quebecois hockey player.

That's sort of how I'd see it too. A French-Canadian tax, if you will.
Considering the Habs are pushing towards a re-build, I'd imagine that Wright would be a better fit for the timeline.

says in details that it's the habs 1st and 1st overall.

i guess it depends on if winnipeg thinks they are a contender or not. not a bad package if they're not.

Read the details in the offer it’s montreals pick cannot offer it because it only allows us to offere Carolina’s but we all know Arizona will be getting h that pick and the habs will be keeping h their own and will be picking top ten. This offere is based on if they win the lottery for 1st over all

I would give up first overall for PLD IN A HEART BEAT! Shane weight is three to four years from ready to compete and Suzuki and PLD with a healthy price and our forward group we are ready to go for it at start of next year

Sorry,I missed that. Safe to say, there may be a discussion then, but it would still result in a fairly quick no from Winnipeg. 1C is the hardest position to fill in the NHL, I can't see the Jets giving one away without an established, comparable one coming back.

Change the pick to MTL's 2023 1st rounder with no conditions. I would wager Winnipeg takes the Dubois to Dvorak downgrade and betting on MTL still being turd even with PLD for the chance of drafting Bedard or Michkov. So long as MTL's pick doesn't end up being the 1st or 2nd OA pick in 2023 they would come out ahead by keeping the Shane Wright pick in your scenario.

I believe Winnipeg takes the deal especially with perffetti coming in next year and Adding wright just seems like the smarter play for the organization. Overall value favours the jets adding ylonen who is a right shot and A prospect is no joke plus Dvorak is highly underrated he is signed cheap and just entering his prime .

WTF lol....

Un premier choix overall sa vaut cher. J'aime Dubois mais wow c'est cher donné. J'essaie de comprendre pourquoi vous penser que Dubois vaut autant. Sa coute cher des first pick!

Wright > PLd

He might be a few years from now but right now PLD IS TEN TIMES THE NHL PLAYER WRIGHT IS! Wright. Wright was invisible in the WHJC! Not sure if he plays in the nhl first year after draft. But PLD is a number one centre right now

PLD IS 23 that is a youth move lol. With a healthy price and defense corps we walk to the final again easily. Rebuild complete!
