this isnt me saying we are trading for these guys or anything these are guys that chicago should look and ask the price because its more then likely we need a rebuild and this draft class is weak past the first 10-15 so a lte pick wont cut it we should be looking for guys like this that look good and are on teams with loaded top 6 again I know teams wont trade these guys but just a though

I don't think the Blackhawks have anything that would entice Edmonton to part with both Savoie and Petrov. Maybe extend Debrincat and retain a third of his new deal?

Edmonton would obviously add more than just the two prospects but nothing else really stands out in the Hawks' system as an upgrade worthwhile enough to make that deal.

Turcotte could be the main piece the Kings use to try to get Chychrun. There is not an equivalent player available in Chicago to that up for sale.

I would want a top 4 d and a solid starter if we were trading our better prospects but I don’t think that holland would trade any of our prospects maybe he would deal draft picks over the prospects.

Can't tell if you're being serious here or not but...

If Debrincat got traded (he isn't) it would cost Holloway+Broberg+, and there's no way, absolutely no way, we extend him and then immediately trade him with 33% retention. Has that ever even happened before?

It's a bit facetious perhaps but it's the more to emphasize the point remains there's absolutely nothing in the Blackhawks system that Edmonton should be moving either of those prospects for.

I don't think the Hawks should even want Turcotte to be honest. The price would be high and there's a big questionmark over his head whether he even becomes a solid top 6 player in the league.

I can't see the Wild wanting to trade Novak. He's our only right handed forward prospect with middle six potential. It would have to be for a better center prospect, to give us a reason to do it.

I don’t agree with anything this guy has said. Petrov and Savoie are both great prospects and they can be had for the right price. Hawks could get a package together if they really wanted to. The Debrincat extension and retain a 3rd is absurd in and of itself. Let along doing that for these 2 prospects involved. Valuing your own players way too high.

Honestly there’s no reason to go after turcotte let alone the oilers players. Dach hasn’t panned out the right way so right off the bat I don’t trust the hawks to grow turcotte properly. The kings’ll find a way to either make him what they want him to be or move on. But the hawks are not a good place for turcotte.

As for the oilers, I agree with chiarelli to an extent. There really is no one on the hawks worth acquiring for that price. Debrincat definitely isn’t worth it for the oilers to take a run at either. Not a chance. Fleury might be the only appetizing piece the hawks have for the oilers and even we’d have to take back koskinen.

Suffice to say, the hawks are just in a really bad spot right now where they can’t grow their own talent anymore (especially true ones who NEED to pan out) and even the pieces we acquire through other means just don’t work to move the needle. They desperately need a full rebuild. But management and hawks fans alike are too stubborn to acknowledge that need.
