Or just don't trade for Petry...

Can't see MIN having any interest in Petry.

Montreal is not trading petry for less thana 1st + 3rd, it makes no sense to trade him for less value than what is expected for Chiarot

I don’t want to trade him. This is only if he wants to force his way back to the states

We DON'T have to trade him for less than he's worth though, we can just keep him and force him to play and raise his value. I don't even think Petry would have to be forced to stay. He loves the city and the team, he just hates the lockdown crap like the rest of us.

Isn't Rask a UFA? He has no value for Montreal.

Congrat on the lowball offer.

Habs reject. Rask is a cap dump and he's a pending UFA

A sh*t return for him, but he will probably get traded sooner than later with his recent trade request. He's a veteran and veterans are way more likely to get what they want

If they are moving on from Dumba it makes some sense for the cost certainty. Petry takes Goligoski's role and Dumba's position, and is a good stop-gap to let Addison develop.

Minnesota isn't taking on Jeff Petry with his contract, no thanks! We aren't adding unnecessary money to our cap

Calen addison is ready , so Minnesota isn't taking him on. Rask contract is over at year's end. They aren't moving on from one or both, so both could be back.

A Canadian fan did this proposal, not Minnesota. So just to understand, it's not Minnesota fans trying to trade him to Minnesota

Here's the thing. The Wild are already short on centers and don't need an RD. So even if the value is good (and that contract means it probably is not for Minnesota, who are headed for cap woes soon enough), it doesn;t really work.

Maybe not, only suggested it might make sense for Petry to Minnesota.
Not sure you want to throw Addison into heavy minutes on D after about 10 games. He'll probably need to build some strength and stamina and there's no need to rush him if you have a vet like Petry who can transition to 3rd pair/PP minutes over time.

Nothing, he's not a need and isn't something we'd want.

He's been playing since last year, so he will be going into his 3rd year, so Minnesota doesn't need or want jeff Petry, no thanks.

Greenway was just resigned to a 3 years deal, so no. We aren't trading greenway. We aren't getting worsening by trading dumba for petry. We aren't interested in taking on Montreal's josh Anderson's or petry. Choose another team . No disrespect intended, but you are targeting the wrong team
