No thanks from Winnipeg. There's no reason for Winnipeg to do that. The Jets would just keep the far better player.

No. Suzuki is better than Dubois, and we add a 2nd! Suzuki is signed to a good long term contract, while Dubois needs a deal after this year. Dubois is also lazy. Dubois and lucius for Suzuki and poehling.

I personally wouldn't even do that. I see Suzuki as Bergeron 2.0. Maybe not as good, but very close

Last year: Suzuki age 21, points 41, games 56
Last year: Dubois age 22, points 20, games 42
This year, Dubois slightly better than suzuki in offense, but In a wayyyyy better team.
I think @DucharmetheDOMinator is right that habs are getting ripped off, and I'm not even considering the defensive skills

dubois >> suzuki
lucius also has more upside than poehling
dubois's deal should be at most 8M for 8 years, 125K more annually than suzuki got, so its really not that much of a problem for dubois needing a deal. heck, maybe he even takes a hometown discount and is paid less than suzuki's extension
so all in all, if you want dubois and lucius for suzuki and poehling, someone valuable will have to be added. maybe a first + a B prospect

I am not saying Suzuki is bad but it was quite clear that last year was an outlier for Dubois. Also how is Winnipeg a way better team when they 11th last?

Then why are you making this proposal? We both agree this sucks for the Habs.

That sail has shipped. Doesn't matter who's better, both teams are happy. Zero reason for either to consider.

I know, I was pointing out that this trade almost happened last year, with Columbus obviously
