Pearson is basically a bigger salary dump than Ritchie at this point with the extra year and cap hit for not too dissimilar production

You guys honestly not to stop.

1) The Pens aren't moving Marino.
2) The Pens aren't giving up major assets for a player they won't be able to re-sign next year.

Look for teams with actual cap space.

Again the pens don’t want or need Boeser, they need right handed dmen. They aren’t trading a position of weakness for a position of strength. Find a team that will re-sign him. Pens can’t.

No, that's a fair trade, Lundkvist and Othmann are the supreme pieces, Kravtsov and Chytil are more middle class pieces

Winnipeg had no need for Hamonic. Beaulieu is fine as 7D.

and he's more expensive has an extra year, he's older and he has 10 more points in 12 more games while getting nearly double the ice time. He's a salary dump if ritchie is

You make it sound like more time on ice is a bad thing, what is the matter with you? And 10 points is a big difference. Explain to me why Pearson hasn't been put on waivers like Ritchie?

it's not a bad thing, it's that he isnt producing significantly more despite playing significantly more. 12 games plus the average 8ish mins a game for the 33 games ritchie did play is a massive amount of icetime for an NHL forward.
Ritchie was put on waivers to save cap room and because the leafs have better options, the fact that Pearson hasnt been doesnt mean he's been good by any stretch.
Ritchie is a cap dump because he doesnt produce enough for his contract, the exact same thing applies to pearson, it doesnt matter that pearson is better than ritchie because his contract is bigger and longer and his production is not significantly better despite significantly more time on ice

That's were you are wrong, Pearson has been good where as Ritchie hasn't. If Ritchie had been at least decent for the Leafs, he never would have gotten waived in the first place

pearson has not been good, not at all. And again, the leafs wouldnt have waived ritchie if they didnt have significantly better options and needed the cap space.

How would you know how Pearson has been doing this season? Do you even watch the Canucks? 19 points in 45 games is pretty solid by his standards

That is literally almost a Jack Eichel package…

Kravtsov = 2nd
Lundkvist = Krebs
Othmann + Chytil = Tuch

Only missing a first round pick.

Jets fans laugh. Hamonic was available for the last few years and we didn’t sign him.

Minds can change, and the Jet's aren't exactly in an ideal position heading into the trade deadline

Jets should be sellers, not buyers at the deadline. There is no room for Hamonic under the cap when Ehlers returns from LTIR anyway. If the Jets make room by selling UFAs, they won't be spending that on Hamonic, instead it will be used to address the forward group in the offseason.

Yup. I can understand wanting to dump Hamonic on any team you can, but Winnipeg is the wrong choice.

Sell Andrew Copp and Paul Stastny and put that cap space to work on the forwards in the offseason. Avoid Hamonic's contract.

It's not even a terrible contract, he's a good 3rd pair defenseman
