Other teams would gladly give more than a third rounder for his services

I wouldn't move olofsson for less than a first, rather not move him at all. The trick here, is Bedard. I believe that you need a franchise center if you wanna go anywhere, and we don't have one. You have shored up the right side d here, and added several wingers ready to make the jump, plus Owen power. The goalies listed here are still huge question marks, but overall this team is much improved. We wouldn't be a playoff team yet in our buzzsaw division, but we won't have a look at Bedard either. I would take a shot at center this year for that reason, with the idea that hopefully you can find a right d with any of the other picks this year or next. Plus Rosen isn't ready, and he is gonna miss the rest of this year anyway, he needs to add about 20 pounds of muscle before he is gifted a spot, and that probably includes time in the ahl.

100% agree about needing a true 1C, I just don't know if that's available in this draft, much less outside of the top 3. I'd be praying for a lottery win this year and if not, I'd try and go for bedard next year which shouldn't be too hard playing in the Atlantic

I don’t even want to pay this third for Georgiev, he looks bad in a team with decent defense and when Shesterkin shows such numbers.

in the atlantic I would be surprised if any of the bottom teams like Buffalo or Ottawa or Montreal aren't getting top 8 draft picks next year

Sabres are probably going to be like Detroit next season around 500. Sabres are 11-9-4 when Anderson and Tokarski are plying, if they didn’t get hurt Sabres at least have 5 more wins. I don’t think they are going to be bad enough to get Bedard.

Shane Wright is a 1C in the top 3. Matthew Savoie could also potentially be that player.

I like Girgensons but I’m almost ready to move on from him... especially with his injuries the last few seasons
