He is not better than Hagel and his contract will be 3 times more expensive than Hagels next year.
You need to temper your expectations on your returns, didnt the tofolli deal teach you anything

20 points in 46 games = breakout? hes 26 and is an RFA probably wanting 3m+ compared to Hagel who is 23, has 2 years left after this year at half the price Lehkonen will be at.... Hagel has twice as many goals as well

Realistically he shouldn't be getting more than a 1st and a B+ prospect. Love his game though, very hard worker. Baffling still how Buffalo drafted him but then decided he wasn't worth signing to an ELC

no he didnt, Montreal fans assumed this bc he compared him to a Blake Coleman deadline trade, comparing the players not what the trade values are

stop making up things to feed your over valuing of Montreal players

You do realize GM's use these insiders all the time to drive up prices. GM's use them as useful idiots

Stop replying to DucharmeTheDominator, even after what Toffoli brought (which he was completely off), he still thinks Lehkonen will bring more than Toffoli. And he doesn’t understand that a player making 1.5M on a 3 year's deal and still RFA at the end is worth more then an equal player but who’ll make more than half the other player. He doesn’t understand the salary cap

Let’s say Lehkonen returns a 2nd + 3rd RD pick, he will go Chiarot vs 1st + 2nd, when this won’t happen, hey hey guess what, Drouin vs Girard straight up 😂

Few things here:
- love the idea of Hagel on TB. Perfect fit on the 3rd line and he has term. Perfect
- hagel is worth more than lehkonen
- insiders have said mtl is asking for a 1st . The fan in here didn’t make that up. Whether they get it or not, that’s a different story but that is what was reported
- the other fan who said GMs just feed insiders info. Maybe true, but then you can say the same thing about the asking price on hagel.
- I don’t think GMs are playing a 3D chess game of feeding insiders wrong information. For the most part, when it comes to asking price and what the player actually gets traded for, they are usually pretty accurate. It’s not often you hear someone is being shopped for a 1st and then he goes for a 3rd….
- Habs fans were pretty accurate on the Toffoli trade. They were saying a 1st plus prospect. Those who said Pelletier were out to lunch but those who said Zary or coronato were a little bit closer. Calgary and other team fans were saying Toffoli would go for a 2nd and so they were more off

Probably not enough. Tampa doesn't really have a prospect on the level of what other teams have.
