90% of this is a W - Maybe throw in a late pick in the Chytl trade to go back to the Bruins, and maybe another late pick to Winnipeg

Take out Robertson and Gustafsson and Winnipeg is talking. The Jets need Gustafsson more than another LD.

I dont think Buffalo moves Vic and takes back Nemeth unless there is a first involved. Upgrade the 2nd to a first and you have a deal, otherwise they'll keep him. He's young and Kravstov and Gerogiev don't thread the needle.

Take out Gustafsson and Lundkvist from the Winnipeg trade and and in a 2nd going to Peg and your probably spot on value wise.

Rangers have no need for Oloofsson.

The last thing the jets need is another young ld. Jets decline.

Tbh, the jets probably aren’t very interested in lundqvist either since they probably want to add size to their defence, not more undersized puck movers

This return is awesome for buffalo and they,d be foolish not to take it. Olofsson us going to want more money than he"s worth and he doesnt really offer the intangibles that would make it worth reraining him through the currnt build. A goalie, a pick, and prospect sounds great to me.i dont care about nemeth coming back.

Calm down Sean, you're just about to get your career back on track with the Solar Bears, that's where your focus should be.

Idk if the Rangers would trade Lundqvist for Copp but if they were willing I'd take him rather then a pick even if he's not exactly what the Jets need.

The problem with that is that LHD is already our deepest area so Robertson doesn't really do anything for us. A RHD like Lundkvist IMO does and you have a glut of RHD so you can afford to move 1 in the right deal.

I would love Copp for Lundkvist which is why I'm sure the Rangers fans probably don't. So are there other pieces or prospects the Jets could add that would make that work as a base? I appreciate adding Gus and Robertson to try to make that happen in the OP but Robertson isn't really of interest to us and if the rumours around 55 keep swirling we shouldn't be moving Gus either as he's got second line upside and could potentially get a look there until Perfetti could move to the middle.

So Copp + ?? for Lundkvist (+?? depending on the add from the Jets)

I'm going to suggest Copp (50% retained) + rights to Nathan Smith for Lundkvist + 2nd round pick back. Rangers love signing guys out of NCAA. Losing Smith (a former 3rd rounder who suited up for the USA in the olympics and was leading the NCAA in scoring) really hurts as he has electric hands and we don't have much in the way of right handed shots in the system but I always get nervous that guys will take the Wheeler, Fox, Vessey route when they get near the end of their NCAA eligibility.

I agree. For Copp Lundkvist is an option even though he isn't exactly what Winnipeg needs as he'd pay dividends before a pick would in all likelihood.

This is by no means an awesome return. Probably the best piece the Sabres are getting here is a late 2nd rd pick that it is more likely then not will not even make the nhl. Kravtsov is barely a prospect anymore. Georgiev is a replacement level goalie that has a fairly high qualifying offer for the player he has been..
and nemeth is a throw in for cap purposes

This may the worse comment ever, let me weasel my way.
It all depends upon how one views Kravtsov and Georgiev.
Kravtsov was 9th OA in 2018 who may more time to develop.
Most Ranger fans think Georgiev is having an off year. Maybe they are correct, Nemeth would Buffalo's worse defenseman, yet he is getting decent playing time.
I think I would hold my nose and make this trade hoping Kravtsov and Georgiev would turn into decent players.

why trade Vic who IS a good player, for two guys that *might hopefully* become good players. I would want more assurance than just hope. All my opinion though of course!

I guess my question would be what are you offering olofsson for a contract? This is his last rfa year, he went to arbitration. Are you paying him to be a 2nd line 20 goal scorer or a 35pt winger? And for how long? His sample size is small and on a bad team during short seasons and right now he's not having the best year. Also he was a 7th round pick so your "2nd rounder wont make the nhl" is kinda out of place here.
Meanwhile krazstov got the same 2 goals 4pts in his 1st year called up (2 years sooner in development than olofsson) and is 4 years younger.
Im not saying olofsson is bad, just that i dont think he fits the timeline and os most likely going to be an un exceptional nhler, vinny hinestroza, alex galchenyuck, and namestikov are all in similar boats. They look good at times but can they take the next step that makes it worth a roster spot that a veteran leader or developed prospect can use?
The best part of this deal is you get 2 shots at the same caliber player and dont have to worry about the ufa contract negotiation.

Actually three Georgiev, Kravtsov, and 2022 2nd.
As I said, "...make this trade hoping Kravtsov and Georgiev would turn into decent players."
In retrospect if this was offered to the Sabres by Drury, Karmanos would do cart wheels all around Key Center.
Georgiev or Kravtsov may not be traded for a second round pick, but they each have a ceiling of a first round pick.

EDIT: @Stanley_Cup_To_Manhattan
Rock the boat replace the 2nd with Chytil.
LOL
