I think people underestimate how good Severson is. The other trades make zero sense and seem to just help Van

He will be dealt this year. You won't have to invest any time in this process any longer.

Wtf is this garbage. Since we’re making crap trades, Pettersson 50% retained for a 7th.

I'm surprised the Ranger trade didn't include Schneider.

Devils decline. Not getting Severson here.

    Zacha + 2nd = Boeser
    Severson >>> Poolman

I agree the Devils decline, but Zacha + a 2nd does not = Boeser

    Zacha + 3rd?
    Was really talking about Severson.
Now if we get to off-season and no extension for Severson, his price would likely go down considerably.
But think we hang onto him for now.

It’s been reported that the Canucks won’t move Boeser unless they are blown away by an offer, they would rather keep him long term. So it would have to start with either a 1st, a top prospect, or a young top 4 RHD

As for Severson I agree I think the Devils hold onto him until the offseason at least

If it’s Devils, a 1st wouldn’t work. So would have to be our 2nd (mid-30s pick). We have tons of good prospects. The only RHDs who fit would be Walsh and McCarthy. I’d prefer we keep Walsh, but he probably goes in the deal. Some love McCarthy too (I know ISS has him graded as a 1st rounder his whole draft year).

Which is why, if I were to wager, the most likely package would be: Zacha, Walsh, 2nd for Boeser (extended)

I agree that’s the most likely package from the Devils, but I’m not too sure if that would be enough for the Canucks to accept. I love the idea of the Canucks getting Walsh though

The other drakhorse option could be Mukhamadulkin too, who is a lefty but plays RD. Won’t arrive until 2023 though.
