I know the Avs are all in, but do they really want to trade a 2023 1st for a rental that will be long gone by next TDL?

I don't think the Canucks will be sellers at the trade deadline. Even if they were, I wouldn't move Schenn. He's on a great contract for another year and plays well with Hughes.

Ya I think it would have to take an overpay to get Schenn. Like a 1st rounder type of overpay.

There are some high end Dmen available at the deadline like Lindholm, Klingberg, Giordano, De Haan, etc, not all of which will get 1st's. Vancouver should just keep Schenn if that's their asking price because no one will pay that for him.

I'm not a fan of the bottom 6 you have there. The 3rd line still has Compher on it and overall it doesn't look hard to play against. Faceoffs continue to be an issue in the bottom 6.

Lmao Ottawa isn't giving away a valuable UFA asset, along with a 4th, for a nothing former 1st rounder they wouldn't want in the first place.

Sanford, Zachary
2023 4th round pick (OTT)
OTT
Bowers, Shane

Bowers isn’t trending up, he isn’t flat, he’s actually trending down, from 0.56 ppg, to 0.32 ppg, to 0.21 ppg, in the AHL. He has zero value, and not worth even a 7th, let alone a 4th and a TDL UFA forward.

This is just silly

Vancouver wants to keep Schenn. There is no asking price. If a team wants to get Schenn they have to offer something Vancouver can't refuse.

Sens have no reason to want to bring Bowers back, let alone giving up a pick and a player they can get a pick for in the process.

That's exactly the point. Van isn't shopping Schenn. He plays on our top d pair with Hughes and is a great partner for him at 850k. Teams are asking about Schenn and if they want him they'd have to overpay right now because the Canucks like what he brings and would prefer to keep him.
