Description

After another dismal performance by Mrazek, I think it's fair to say he can't start another game for the Leafs this season. I don't think he has any value at this stage, so trading him to another team will likely cost more assets than it's worth at this stage. I'm suggesting waiving him. Perhaps, a stint in the minors for the remainder of the season allows him to build his confidence back up. If another teams claims him, so be it.

I know Muzzin is currently on LTIR and the taxi squad doesn't exist, but I'm showing the roster this way to showcase cap compliance should Muzzin come back before the end of the season (as Dubas has suggested). Realisticlly, this means Liljegren and Robertson would be sent down to the Marlies as well.

Unless Holl is strictly for cap you can drop him from the deal

Niemela and a 2 is enough (maybe even make it a third but that depends on demand I guess) for Manson imo

Manson seems pretty firm on not waiving for any Canadian team though

Drop the 3rd add 50% retention and it’s still an overpayment. Id probably do it for the 1st alone for him at 50% retention.

I would suggest the Leafs get a 4th or 5th back with that, but that would seem far more ballpark

I don’t think that would be an issue. That being said I’m not sure if NYR would want to help TOR fix their problems going into playoffs. If we are in fact buyers then I don’t see it happening but if the expectations are 1 or 2 rounds I’d lucky then I see that deal being made. But a 4th/5th going back seems fair

georgiev is really not good and the rangers can’t keep him anyway, you can get him cheaper than this in the offseason i’d bet

I didn't realize Manson came out and said he wouldn't waive for a Canadian team. That sucks for sure then.

I know Leaf fans hate their own (sometimes for good reason) but that Georgiev is just horrid for the Leafs. Georgiev has been equally poor as Mrzarek. Could the worse trade proposed this season.
Right now the Leafs should be rolling with Kallgren for a week and hope.

I'm just looking at the playoffs. Chara would have more of an impact on the Leafs playoff roster (even as the 7th option) than Duszak. If the NYI asked for more in the package, it would likely balk the deal I think.

It's a pretty fan common Leaf fan theme. Hate your own and meh players from non playoff teams are the saviours.....and let's trade a bunch of futures too.

Why are they trading a first for a guy with an .893 at all.
Leaf fans do realize that there are bad players on other teams too right? Their not actually all on the leafs.
It quite simply should be get MAF to want to play here and trade for him at a reasonable price or just keep what ya got and hope one of them figure it out.

Yeah i believe Friedman, Dreger and Lebrun mentioned it as well. i guess he wants the States only.

I personally love the Chara deal because I'm always happy to see a Long Island boy come home

ive seen so many chara trades and its like have you guys not watched an ounce of his game tape from the last 4 years? guy cant keep up with the play. only way to utilize him is pk and just park him in the dzone. you literally cant use him in any other style.
