Description

I know this is just a pipedream (a BIG if Krejci comes back). First trade: Debrusk for Sanhiem and a 3rd and Konecny for Achan Lauko and a 2nd (give or take a little more/less on each). Second Trade: Cap Dump (only move I would consider is sending Foligno back to CBJ out of respect). Third Trade: Solid 3rd pairing D at a good cap hit for a B+ prospect and a cap dump ( IMO; Islanders window is done, and will need to start refilling their prospect pool). Let me know your thoughts

Is Vaakanainen any good? Feels like he's not made the leap yet, and at 23, not sure how much longer til you write him off as no longer a prospect. I think him straight up for Mayfield is almost even, but adding Moore means the Islanders are giving up the best player in the deal and taking on the bigger cap hit. Boston's gotta staple at least a 4th to John Moore to dump him in that deal.

I think this would address everything they need and more. Need 1: Someone who can play R1 with march and bergy. Need 2: 2C (IF possible). Need 3 (Left shot defenseman, preferable top 4). Extra: 3RD...Forbort/Reilly rotate depending on team and cliffy will serve as an extra for insurance

Need 2: correctly identified, it is need number 2. This just isn’t happening. Put it out of your head. It isn’t possible anymore.
Need 3: actually, it’s need 1. Solid player, a good add. But if this is a pipe dream we’re talking about, why not lindholm or chychrun?
