Barron will be NHL ready next season (on ELC money).
Behrens is a sure NHLer in 2-3 seasons (on ELC money).

He'll be 34 at the start of next year, pending UFA making 10.5mil, not playing for a playoff contending team, whats the goal here? hold onto him, resign him till age 38-39, not make the playoffs and hope his performance doesnt drop sooner than expected?

McDavid is better defensively than Kane and also provides more offense

And tons of people complained about McDavid's defense. Thats pretty much his only critique, but for the past 2 seasons hes been a lot better at it than his first few seasons
