I'd be comfortable giving that up if I was the Wings, but it'd still be a tough sell to the Isles. Barzal is their guy, and if I wouldn't take a package like this for Larkin I wouldn't for Barzal either.

Grewe isn’t ever going to break into the show and Erne is a dime a dozen. I think the previous trade with veleno was better. Wallinder is equivalent to Ajo with high top4 ceiling.

Possibly consider switching the 2nd to Detroit’s as well as that will be pick ~40 which has higher value and I think it’s close.

Islanders have no reason to trade Barzal unless it's for a slam dunk offer, so yes. You understand trading for a team's franchise player usually doesn't happen? Additionally, I'd wager Barzal in an offensive system becomes more valuable than Larkin.

Barzal has broken 20 goals literally once in his career on a far more impressive islanders team. Dylan has done it 3 times on a dogwater team, playing with 0 support and will have his second 30+ goal season with 2 more goals this year.

You heavily undervalue Dylan Larkin if you think it “starts with Larkin”. The guy has been the only player worth a damn in Detroit for 5 years.

never said it starts with him. barzal is better and more valuable. and one is on a mess of a team and the other is forced to play defense. barzal is far more talented and would put up 100 points if he had the freedom larkin has lol. Larkin has never broken 73 points lmao. Like okay? its a dumb comparisson

This is 100% one of the most reasonable answers that I've seen here today.

Ah yes, the red wings and coach Blashill, a team that definitely doesn’t force their forwards to play defensively and chip and chase hockey. Rofl.

You know nothing of Dylan Larkin or the team he plays on and are not qualified to comment on it. This convo is over.

Freedom larkin has my ass lmao.

pov you show a graphic of one season and dont take into account that that's purely production and projection and disregard advanced analytics and expected numbers. this is the ultimate strawman X disregarding context collab

larkin's career high is 73 points lmfao. Your'e acting like he is actually a star.

Wings fans are the closest thing to psycho leafs fans that we've got.

I'm not really sure what you're getting it. Barzal is a great player, but so is Larkin. To suggest that Barzal is head and shoulders above Larkin is ludicrous.

Other than his first year in the league he's barely averaged 60 points...

Earlier your argument was Larkin sucks because he hasn't hit 73 pts. Now your argument is that Barzal's better because you can't see advance stats when I provide a chart that references GSVA to you. I think we're done here lol.

also never said larkin sucks. lets be mature here and not make stuff up

Barzal also has a 6.1 higher career WAR in less seasons, just 3.1 less xWAR is less seasons and has a higher xWAR per year than Larkin. so yeah smile
