Do the Canucks have one of if not the weakest prospect pools in the NHL?

And with a middle of the pack pick (14-15) it’s not like they will be adding a stud this year.

Stars were at like 550 or something like that last year.

The Bolts really curse the teams they beat in the finals.

Justin Bieber kicked tires about buying the Sens lmao. Glad to know all the potential buyers have a downtown arena plan.

At least they signed the WHL's leading scorer

Yes because Jim Benning… Drafting was probably his “strong suit” compared to his other aspects but that means nothing if he trades away all our picks. We haven’t had a first rounder since 2019 and this year finally we will actually have a first.

Other than Rathbone, we don’t have any exciting prospects

Connor Bedard will commit to College next year. Then play 4 years and sign with the Canucks

But only if Motte returns.

My guess whatever team has Motte is where he will go wink

As shown lately, he is getting worn out. He is gonna end up playing 65 games this season and next. If we can trade away guys like Miller and Boeser, we can probably drop to a top 5 pick

Apparently Garland may also be on the move as his cold spell has not impressed JR.

And rn idk if they trade Miller. They could have got a kings ransom at the TDL as teams often pay more for 1.5 year term vs. 1 year. Especially in that buyers market.

Boeser though yeah hes probs getting moved at the draft.

The thing is probably no one was offering what Vancouver wanted for Miller which is Schneider type RD . Have to think Colorado offered Barron but they were probably asking for a big package .

I would take Boeser on the Sens but wouldn’t over pay his contract: probably not worth more than 6.5 right now on a longterm deal

Garland started the season so well and for some reason he just dropped off and has hit a slump. He probably has the lowest value out of the 3 but if we’re to be traded, I want at least the equivalent of what we traded for him. A top 10 pick or a first round +prospect

Got to think if Miller was available he would be in Colorado rn. As if they gave a 2nd + Barron for Lehkonen why not 1st + 2nd + Barron for Miller or something like that.

Exactly but I don’t think Vancouver thought that was enough or maybe didn’t see Barton’s upside

Apparently New York lowballed Vancouver. I can’t remember the exact deal but it was something like Chytil, Kravtsov, and a pick which the Canucks turned down. I think he can get 3 first round pick equivalents if teams are allowed to have contract extension talks with him.

Trade proposal:
Miller 50% retained + extension
Mid round pick (third rohnder maybe?)

For

Lundkvist
Kravtsov
2022 first
Conditional 2023 second (if the rangers make the conference finals in the playoffs, the second round pick becomes a first)

I remember hearing that. Then I heard LA wanted Chycrun and Miller but nothing more surfaced

I know Kings still want Chycrun but will they turn around and also trade for Miller no idea.

Its a weird situation rn as there are 2 reports

One saying Canucks want to trade Miller at the draft

The other is keep and extend Miller and trade Garland + Boeser.

I hate the Rangers. Like yeah let me throw 2 busts and get a point per game player. While we wait for our other players we don’t want to trade to bust themselves lmao

Canucks are first gonna try to sign Boeser probably. If he wants too much, he’s gone
Canucks are then gonna try to extend Miller. If he wants too much, he’s gone

Things could go either way depending on how much players are asking
