neither horvat nor miller are gonna be in your price range since you've already moved barron/helleson

We're already low on prospects after the Manson & Lehkonen trades so im not a fan of making another trade moving big assets out (which would be needed to get any of these guys). I like the idea of Stastny in UFA and then insulate him and Newhook with strong wingers (extend Nichushkin and Lehkonen so just need 2 more) to round out the middle 6

You can add Pavelski to that list too

You likely can’t afford Miller or Horvat unless you’re willing to move Byram or Newhook which I hear you are not

The price for Miller or Horvat would start with Newhook and a 1st. I think it's unlikely that Colorado would want to trade Newhook.

Pavelski is certainly not an option. Horvat likely isn't

Miller is but he will cost a lot and outside of Byram Colorado really lacks quality prospects now

There are only 2 players I see being the Avs 2C next year, Kadri if re-signs or Newhook if it doesn’t. If they don’t re-sign Kadri there wont be any of this until Newhook is ready, the cap situation doesn’t allow it.

Why lose assets to trade for a 2C when you’ve got decent options in free agency which only cost you cap?
