no idea. Probably? Like I said, I'm just bored so I'm randomly throwing stuff like this out.

I don’t think the Canes move Necas for that. Gurianov and a 1st would be a good start, but Necas is beloved by the Canes organization, so it would take a lot more than what I just labeled as a start to get the Canes to even consider trading Necas. Canes were not willing to entertain any offers toward Laine or Eichel with Necas involved, so if you want him, it would have to be a massive overpayment. I don’t think Dallas would like the price that the Canes would set on Necas’ head.

For the Canes starting price, they will probably ask for Robertson and a 1st, which gets shot down by Dallas, and Necas stays in Carolina. That’s the scenario that I would expect to occur.

I’d be all over that LA deal if they’d do it and Esa would waive. I’d rather keep Klinger for 6 or 7 years than sign Letang. Too many injuries. Necas prolly costs Guri and a first like eve said but I’d be okay with that as I’d like to keep Grushnikov. I feel like he’s gonna be one of those underrated guys that can move up and down the lineup with some strong upside. If the Canes requested a package like that I’d deal tho. I’d also like to see Guri under somebody other than Bowness so there’s that

Yeah that's pretty accurate of what Dallas would need to pay for him.

Nah that's bonkers, it's like Dallas asking for Aho and a 1st for Hintz. I get you really want to keep him, but that's a MAJOR overpay.

Hawks decline. They’re rebuilding and have 1 offensive prospect. Literally. They don’t need to give up Strome who is producing at 0.67ppg for his career and get a 30 yo Dman.

Canes don’t want to trade Necas, so what better way than to discourage a team from trying to get Necas by using a massive overpay. For me personally, Gurianov, a first, preferably in 2023, and another high end prospect for LW or LHD, that would be my starting price for Necas. What the Canes would ask for as the starting price is different as they value Necas more than anyone else. Robertson and a first is a ridiculous ask, and the comparison you made would be an accurate one. Canes don’t want to trade Necas, and there is no better way of making a team not want to trade for Necas than by asking for a ridiculously high starting price, that Dallas or any other team would be stupid to make the trade. And by any chance that Dallas does accept, Canes get a huge haul, and Nill is then told to get out of Dallas.

Every player is available for a certain price, it really just depends on how far a team is willing to go to acquire that player. Canes don’t want to trade Necas, so it would require a massive overpay to pry him out of Carolina. The same mentality goes for Robertson in Dallas. They don’t want to trade him and it would require a massive overpay to pry him out.

Robertson has almost twice as many points as Necas this year (yes I realize usage matters)… why on earth would Dallas add a first round pick?? That’s like saying Gurianov would cost Svech and a first

It was just an example. No seriousness was put into the example.

A trade for Strome starts with Wyatt Johnston. After that, I am assuming they would want either a 1st or an additional prospect and a 2nd or 3rd depending on who the additional prospect is.
