Whoever started this 5 pages of cesspool nonsense should get banned for a week laugh this is why these threads blow out of proportion (and also why the other topics forum was created). And now we're suddenly having a deadline with each other

Yes it really is. I bought a stick like that once and wanted to kill myself. If I only played beer league it wouldn’t matter that much, but playing competitive hockey I can’t play with something like that. I don’t want to be that guy, but the stick you play with CAN effect your game. The difference between a 100$ one and the one I bought is extremely huge.

I got essentially two sticks for 167$ each, and they’re a little worst than the hyperlite, I don’t know if you can find a better deal.

You might need to try some different brands then if money's an issue. Like back in the day, I used to run the EQ30 and didn't really notice that much of a difference between it and the EQ40 (I did use this for like a year though) or 50 (tried it, didn't feel like it was significantly better than the 30), and liked it more than the highest end sticks from other brands. Just needed the Hall curve and whatever flex I was running back then, and it worked better than something that was just more expensive, Easton fit what I needed back then. Better "quality" (read: more expensive) doesn't always mean better fit for you and your game. I also think that until major junior/pros a lot of that is just in your head tbh. Like if you're good enough in bantam or whatever, a slightly less expensive stick isn't gonna tank your game lol
