Very extremely not interested in Josh Anderson's awful contract

Detroit declines, value is fair but there are better options to choose from.

They're literally almost identical in terms of on-ice value. Both had a 47 point pace season in 18-19 and haven't been as good since. White was projected for 0.4 GSVA this year by Dom's model and is on pace for 0.1, while Anderson was projected for 0.2 and on pace for -0.1. Anderson's on a 36-point pace, White's on a 34-point pace. Anderson's a better goal scorer, White's a better playmaker. Anderson is a faster skater and more physical, White is better defensively and plays centre. White beats Anderson in CF% 55.78-46.56 and xGF% 52.17-46.33, which is kinda significant. Anderson also has the higher PDO (basically luckier) by 0.05 (0.985-0.935) which is a pretty sizeable margin. Anderson has a -0.27 CF% rel, -4.29 GF% rel, and 1.26 xGF% rel, White has 6.48, -5.52, and 5.35 (basically meaning Anderson is dead average among Habs regulars in terms of impact, while White is one of the better Senators in terms of projected impact, but has had some bad luck with on-ice shooting/save percentage). Like, if anything White has the slight edge in numbers, is more versatile (can play C or RW), is better defensively, and he's also younger, less expensive, and signed for less (because realistically both guys are overpaid 3rd liners, in which case I'd look at the younger player, the one that plays centre, the one that is better defensively, the one that is less expensive, the one with less term on the bad deal, all of which is White lol). I wouldn't trade White for Anderson 1 for 1. Saying that Ottawa needs to not only add, but add a top 7 pick AND a good prospect who is probably gonna be a top 4 RD within 2 years, is one of the worst takes I've seen in a long time.

NOBODY want Andeerson at his cap hit and term. Youre not getting a 1st from any team in the league. Another 5 years at 5.5 has the potential to be one of the worst contracts in the league.

At least White can be bought out for peanuts lol

Can’t believe you wasted your time looking for advanced stats lol There’s only a few power forwards in the league who can skate, shot and hit like Anderson. There’s a reason he got that contract after only scoring 1 goal. Look at Chiarot advance stats before he got traded, one of the worse Dman in the league. But he’s good however

Not really, I'd say long term the Habs win cause Anderson already does not play like an 5.5 million forward on a nighly bases so you're telling me he is going to do that in his 30's.

Um, Chariot was gotten cause of his experience and grit, he does not need to be great in Florida.

Oliver Johanson and Brannstrom are a lot better than Vitali Kravtsov, I also would not do that trade because both of the pieces that the Sens are giving up are better than the Kravtsov. Also Kravtsov is not really needed but if he was acquired it would be us selling and him being a different piece of the deal. Or he could probably be acquired for just a second or third. No use giving up a very promising prospect and a NHL level D. As he is potentially a top 2 defenseman and plays like it sometimes.

Anderson shows up once every 7 games lol. He’s an overpaid 3rd liner. If he actually played up to his potential every night he’d be a top 6/top line guy, like Tom Wilson or Drake Batherson. But he doesn’t. He sucks more often than not, with an overall negative impact in general, with the occasional great game to get people like you thinking he’s worth something. Saying a guy has all the raw tools is great… for an 18yo in junior. If a 27yo can’t put it all together yet, he’s likely never going to lmao. It’s not that hard to understand. Maybe if he was worth his contract every night the Habs wouldn’t be 2nd last in the league.

He is garbage defensively but Anderson isn’t why MTL are at the bottom
Suzuki Caufield Anderson isn’t enough to win games by themselves

Well Anderson certainly isn’t doing his part to help the Habs win lol, especially not when compared to his price tag

people should watch what they say when claim "you will never get" , trade deadline made a lot of people here look silly.

I would not give away branstrom for kratsov

5 years left at 5.5m?? They should be paying someone else to take that on! I'm very confident no one is giving that up. We can bookmark it and come back after the offseason haha
