You’re getting one of Armia or Hoffman back if you’re flipping white to Montreal

That’s not close to Fiala’s value. After his recent play, he will cost the 2022 1st and/or Greig

No chance Dorion takes back Hoffman. I can see White (small retention) for Byron .

I actually don't think that's enough for the Sabres to take Murray. That's 12 million dollars for two years of a goalie that we don't want playing for us. Plus we have goalie prospects who will need time in Rochester, probably next year. Would you buy a second and a third round pick for 12 million in money and cap space?- no, me neither.

Both! That’s one of the few realistic packages I would even consider.

Apparently this week in an interview Guerin said the wild can keep both dumba and fiala. No idea how, but I’m also not a gm

Montreal literally can't take on serious cap and HuGo have been INCREDIBLY clear they intend to clear cap, but they're supposed to either take on White's bloated contract for nothing or an expiring Byron? Lol.

Guess he expects Fiala to take a hometown discount, maybe he does for 1 yr but he'd be crazy to do so after the season he is having.

ok but there has been plenty of rumors of White to Montreal. I have no idea why or how but it was not fake rumors

Ottawa is not going to trade White to Montreal if it's not a hockey trade.

Byron could be possible as he only has 1 year left but if they have to take a bigger cap dump than that, they'd simply BUY OUT Colin White as it's very CHEAP

https://www.capfriendly.com/buyout-calculator/colin-white

So it depends what Ottawa intends to do with White. It's true that the positions are getting stacked so getting hard for him to have a spot

C : Stutzle - Norris - Pinto - Kastelic

RW : Batherson - Brown - Joseph - Watson

The thing is they might acquire another Top-6 RW. One of Brown or Joseph would then be on LW

Colin White buy out makes so much sense (even if they have the cap space to keep him) as they'd save significant money

That is UNLESS Dorion can trade him in what we call a HOCKEY TRADE.

OK? White for a 3rd or Byron isn't a hockey trade though. That's my point.

Don't disagree with that.

I just wanted to give some context (lot of people don't know about the cheap buyout option)
