I’m all ears if there are better options

Kolesar (also stinks but Vegas has no cap space)
ZAR
Tolvanen maybe (exact same micro stat profile as Kunin with more shots and much better underlyings)
Carrier is really good and also VGK capspace
Meier if you wanna go huge
I bet Ross Colton would want to come home.
Greenway if Guerin realizes keeping Fiala is the smart thing to do

I'd think holtz or Mercer would be part of the deal but that 1st rounder is going to be very attractive.

I gotta disagree with that, as the hawks would be looking for a 2023 first in return for Debrincat. They won't settle on a 2022 since other teams may offer a 2023. Also, the devils first in 2023 will most likely not be a lottery pick since they'll be in the playoffs probably. Overall, the devils aren't a team that the hawks will make this trade with.

Deal starts with one of Holtz or Mercer AND the 2022 1st

Quoting: jrkane88
it would 100% start with holtz and a first debrincat is a 40 goal scorer that is 24 you can rebuild and start competing when hes 28 if you do it properly they have no need to move him unless the package is to good to pass up

Give me one good comparison when a top-5 pick was traded along side a top-10 prospect.

Most of the time, when top-5 picks are dealt, they are done so before it is known where the pick will land.
(for instance, Tim Stutzle pick was dealt more than two years before the draft occurred...Bowen Byram pick was 1.5 years prior)

And top prospects are also rarely moved.

Never together.

When has a team ever sold a top-5 pick AND a top-10 prospect in same deal?

Tell me when a 24 year old healthy star was traded , franchise cornerstone was traded period. If Eichel was healthy , the package would’ve been much higher and Eichel also wanted out. If a team wants Debrincat they’d have to wow Chicago with at least 2 really strong young pieces to help the rebuild considering they’ve lost a 1st this year too

when has a a 24 year old healthy star been traded? Cat is viewed as the future captain of the blackhawks as well. Explain to me why we move our franchise cornerstone for any less? Would you move Hughes for a top 5 pick, Kubalik, Russian that may or may not every come over to America, and B prospect? Jack is more more than Cat, but the same point stands.

That doesn't get DeBrincat, And if he's available Yzerman will be looking at bringing him home. And offer a better deal than this.

what would yzerman offer do you think that would beat this? just curious

Not that i want him to do it, But it would probably include Berggren possibly Wallinder our 2022 1st round pick perhaps Hronek/Zadina for good measure.

Both teams have sweet pieces that would definitely entice Kyle Davidson. But honestly if DeBrincat were moved he'd probably would be better off in Jersey.

Yeah i don't see Yzerman trading for any wingers, We need 2C and Top 4 LD until the kids are ready. There have been some rumblings that Yzerman may go after Filip Forsberg if he makes it to free agency or possibly sign home town boy Bryan Rust. We shall see in about 2 1/2 months what happens. All in all Yzerman plans on some major moves this summer.

Bro are you somehow an insider or something? Because you seem to know a lot of personal information about NHL players, or in this case their wives lol.

What's it to you, The guy said his wife was from New Jersey. I looked her up and no mention of New jersey said her home town was Clarkston, Michigan. I like Debrincat so yeah wanted to find out some info on his Wife.

Ok, fair enough, it just came off sounding kind of weird.

Though you always seem to know whether or not a certain player will waive his NTC or NMC often as well...

You don't think Chicago would want a high lottery pick from NJ? I dont anyone is giving a lottery pick for 2023 away with bedard out there.

When was the last time an elite 24 year old with one year left on a attractive deal and a RFA was traded? Don't use Eichel either as he was injured, stuck in a public contencious debate with his team, a UFA IN 4 years and one of the top 5 highest cap hits in the league.
