Boston laughs and runs as they take that deal.

Philly deal is massively one sided to Winnipeg

Not they don't. Boston refused to include both Lysell amd Lohrei n any talks for a guy like JT Miller....whose better then Scheifele.

Jets have zero need or want for Pearson

Scheifele to Boston starts with Carlo

that’s horrid for PHI

No, it’s really not.
Lohrei is a 21yr old LHC, which the Jets have lots of
Wagner is a 30yr old bottom 6 RW, which the jets can get better elsewhere
These 2 do absolutely nothing for WPG and, as such, hold zero value to us.

Carlo is a top 4 RHD, which is a big need for WPG.
Lysell and the 1st are good prices that should be included in any Scheifele trade, but they should be added to Carlo+
At least this actually addresses the Jets needs

You glossed over the biggest asset in the package.

Lohrei, lysell, and a 1st is more than carlo.

Lohrei isn’t needed in WPG… at all… zip, ziltch, zero need
Lysell yes
The 1st yes
Carlo yes

Lohrei and Wagner…no

Don’t care if he’s a need or not. Moving out a top four d isn’t a fit for boston.

Let’s think this through: teams that are going to be trading for Scheifele are going to be contenders, right? Otherwise why would they make the move. Teams that are contenders don’t move out top four d men. Even bringing carlo into the conversation is weird. It’s future or nothing. This proposal is an overpay. No top four d man is coming.

So you’re saying WPG should make the trade because it works for BOS, even though it doesn’t work for WPG….No
If Carlo is a no go… then there’s really no way BOS can get Scheifele because we aren’t taking unneeded and meh players just because it helps the Bruins.

No. That’s not what I’m saying. It’s not a fit with boston, clearly.

What I am saying is that if your thought process is, “the jets need a top four d for Scheifele,” it’s just not going to happen. Embrace futures.

Cheveldayoff's media availability (probably Monday) is going to be interesting. He is the master of talking at length but saying nothing so I don't expect many hints of what the offseason may hold. If he basically says he's happy with the composition of the team and we just need to get more out of them, I will facepalm and mutter to myself, "He's going to run it back... to 19th overall"

The first three trades are awful for the Jets and there is no chance the Jets would get stuck with Ellis' contract. Konecny would be a nice add though.

Dude Ellis and Kone for Schmidt and Vesalainen is Chevy's wet dream. What are you smoking

It sounds like you haven't watched hockey for at least a year. Ellis is a walking injury. Taking on Ellis' contract is a sure way to get yourself fired.

Yeah every player that gets hurt is automatically a burden. Just like Vegas obviously didn't trade for Eichel because he was a burden too. LOL

Maybe take a look at Ellis' contract. It's an anchor now, imagine next year or the year after. If you think Wheeler's is bad...

If I'm not mistaken he will be 36yo in his last year of that contract, not 45. A dman...
Was able to put together crazy amount of points while playing behind Josi. 93% WAR, 80% EV offense, 66% EV defense, great on the PK, blocks a ton of shots. Would be a real no.1 in Winnipeg, 1PP guaranteed. Absolutely elite overal numbers. I would take that contract in a blink of an eye even with an expected slump in the final year/two years.
