Season 3 of my F1 22 My Team save is about to start

For reference, Russell finished 2nd in the WDC for Mercedes. I have no idea why, but they let him walk in favor of Daniel Ticktum of all people.

Latifi finished last in points, with 2 points, 23 points behind the 21st driver in points, Guanyu Zhou. Fernando Alonso retired, and Alpine passed on Oscar Piastri and Theo Pourchaire for the GOAT.

This timeline seems to be on par with my 2021 save where Mazepin went to Mercedes in terms of being absolutely cursed. Latifi-Ocon and my save's pairing of Hamilton-Mazepin is a match made in hell.

Not Too Surprised,, but I'm more interested in how high can Gasly bring this Alpine next year. We've seen them do well earlier this year, and I think Gasly is better than current Alonso's ability and also Ocon, maybe he challenges Mercedes? I may be thinking too high for Gasly but I'd be excited if I'm an Alpine fan.

I'm just glad he's finally free. I'd expect him to be in the points consistently, like in the top 8.

Gasly vs. Ocon is going to be interesting.

These guys are truly the Jonathan Drouin's of F1 - guys that had immense potential but weren't quite able to reach the heights expected. Gasly was the Red Bull junior and Ocon the Mercedes one, with neither getting a proper chance at the top.

I set an alarm for about 8 am today only to wake up and realize the race started at midnight, so I missed out on the fun. 🤦‍♂️ Good for Max though

Well you missed quite a little in terms of driving with all that rain. Only got 40 minutes of racing today.
