Description
Play with the lines how you'd like but just a rough idea.

I understand the value could be way off but let me know!

I think the Leafs could use Pearson more than they could use Sandin right now. If they are in win now mode then I think they should invest in their top 9.

Leafs need some more guys to take some team friendly deals especially in net.

Best case scenario, more guys take team friendly deals and they can improve their depth. Worst case, no more team friendly deals and they have to either sacrifice team depth or goaltending. Raffl can be replaced with almost anyone in that spot.

Let me know what you think

Why are you trading Sandin for Pearson?

-I think if you're open to moving Sandin, you can set your sights a little higher than Tanner Pearson with retention, but the idea makes sense.

-Cambell's signing is at least $1.5M too low and Kase's is about $1M too high - Kase is just too fragile of a player to invest much into. I think it's just as likely he gets non-tendered this summer and Toronto signs a bottom 6 guy around $1M to play RW3.

-The goalie depth worries me but there's not a ton out there - I would still try and roll the dice on a veteran with somewhat of a track record before rolling with Kallgren as my backup.

Thanks for input. But no way the take on Mrzarek...just too many better options at a cheaper price,
Leafs are deep at LW in the organization. Leafs are giving up Sandin for a middling Pearson.

Like I said in the post. I think Pearson (or another guy who can slide up and down in the lineup) makes the leafs better than having sandin play bottom pair minutes or sit some games. I look at it as a trade that helps them win now by making their forward depth better.

Yeah thats fair, I guess I saw Kase putting up 30 points last year and figured he'd be great on the 3rd line. I'm kinda thinking that Campbell takes a hometown discount but who knows.

I agree on the backup, would be nice for them to add a veteran guy on the minimum.

You can for sure switch the value around but I'm just throwing out the idea of trading a guy you really aren't going to use a ton this year to improve on another area.

You have Rielly, Muzzin, Gio, Brodie, and Holl who played over him last year. I'm just saying I think it would be better off improving the top 9 then having him on the 3rd pair/ sitting some games

Mrazek is going to cost something to move, or he gets bought out. Yes the Sabres have cap space (and they need to use some of it to get to the floor), and yes they need a goalie. Mrazek isn't the answer. He's awful, nobody wants a bad goalie, and the Sabres don't need to be doing favors like that unless they are adequately compensated. Which means something would have to be coming with mrazek that would hurt.

That's fair. I guess I was going off thinking Mrazek could return to the goalie he was a couple years ago. What would be fair compensation in your mind or no chance the sabres are interested?

Oh yippiee!!!!

Yet another Mrazek to Buffalo trade. Sabres will give you nothing, absolutely nothing for Mrazek. Ab-so-lute-ly nothing!

My god, the air up on Mt. Maple Leaf must be getting thinner by the day.

Just to tick Leaves fans off, nothing less than this year's first rounder.

But, but, we need to SOMEHOW get to the floor somehow, what if none of the other 30 teams is willing to give us a steaming pile of crap contract to help us get to the floor?
