Jack Campbell will get 5 x 5

And Detroit passes, we want no part of Petr Mrazek ever again. The cost would be higher.

Swap out kokkinen and the third for Toronto's first next year and Detroit might accept. He was a cancer in the locker room and we have no interest in him.

Detroit declines.

Cost to unload Mrazek's contract is somewhere between 20OA and 35OA, which in the Leafs case, would be their 1st round pick and that's with nothing going back.

IMO, Sandin can't be offer sheeted. First he never played 80 NHL in his last two season. His first year pro, he was of junior aged and loaded to the Marlies/Leafs from his Sweden teams.
IMO the same with Liljegren.....just never played 80 games in the NHL in the last two seasons.

MN declines. We have zero, and I mean zero interest in J Hull.

easy decline from Detroit. We'll take him along with your first this year for nothing, and then buy him out. Otherwise, not thanks.

I feel like Sandin is worth more than a second-round pick. He's a 22yo former first-round pick who has only been getting better. His points total doesn't reflect his impact on the game. Next year he'll probably QB the leaf's PP over Rielly.

The trade doesn't really make sense for the leafs though. This cost-controlled asset is going to get you a second-round pick next year? Would rather try to Muzzin and redistribute some of his cap hit.

It's not a trade.

"Sandin gone for OS"

It's what they'd do if Sandin was given an offersheet that the Leafs can't match.

They both qualify for offer sheets.

Who can an offer sheet be submitted to?

"An Offer Sheet can be submitted to any player who meets the following criteria:

The player qualifies as a Group 2 Restricted Free Agent (RFA), or
The player qualifies as a Group 4 Restricted Free Agent (RFA)
NOTE: Any free agent player who is designated as a Group 1 or 10.2.c Restricted Free Agent or an Unrestricted Free Agent (UFA) [Groups 3, 5 or 6], are not eligible to receive an Offer Sheet."

You would see a 10.2(c) next to their names if they didn't qualify, similar to Romanov on the Habs page.

I wish Toronto fans would stop sending Holl to Minnesota.
