Didn’t even need to see the devils trade to know it’s an instant decline

I don't even know where to begin... lol - but I can confidently say if you offered Gaudreau that deal, he'd laugh in your face and never speak with you again.

Change the 2022 Calgary 1st to Arizona’s 2022 1st and NJD would be interested.

Minnesota declines easily. They have no need for Christian Dvorak, nor taking on cap dump of paul Byron

You mean Montreal's 1st?! We don't have Arizona's 1st and this thread doesn't have it traded to Montreal. IF you do mean Montreal's 1st, that is equally as ridiculous as the NJ offer in this thread. Teams don't trade better picks in a package to move down 1 spot. In order for Montreal to move down then NJ would have to add not Montreal.

What is it about Habs fans that makes them utterly incapable of understanding the value of the second overall pick in this year's draft?!?!?

Minnesota can't afford to pay Fiala $7.5M, but they can afford to pay Dvorak and Byron a combined $7.85M? Make it make sense.

What is it with other teams fans that make them incapable of understanding that 2nd (even 1st) OVA this year is only worth about the same as 5-10 OVA next year?! This draft class is not deep, it is about as deep as the 2018 draft. There are good players at the top but nothing like the 2017 or 2015 drafts.

If not Arizona’s pick, we’d want a talking horse. He can speak French or English, but has to talk.
