The Kings just extended Lizotte because he has a relentless motor, I don't believe Kerfoot would thrive in LA. Maybe another team who is weaker at the center position?

We're going to trade four years of our proven-effective cheap fourth-line center for one year of the older, more-than-twice-as-expensive Alex Kerfoot? And add a middling draft pick?!?!?

I don't think so.

Boone Jenner just had a fantastic season with Columbus, doubt he’s on the market unless Columbus is getting highway robbery for him

Thats a good point, I think the value is on point, it would maybe be dependent on a decent extension for kerfoot? More so, leafs would be looking for a similar player to lazotte if elsewhere!!

This was an off the board trade but my thinking behind it is boone wont really be as valuable next time they are ready to compete and have 2 centres coming up... so they get a scoring winger, 2 solid draft picks, and a nhl ready defenceman

Hawks would be looking for more than the late 5th and 7th on top of any 3rd in a Mrazek dump.

The picks/futures are important to CHI and I just don't feel the 5th and 7th excite us enough to take the cap.

They just named him captain last year and extended him for 4 years starting this year. He's not available.

Unlikely, if the Kings moved on from Lizotte it was because they believe that one of: Turcotte, Kupari, or Vilardi could take over that role. He (lizzotte) is a speedy pesty possession monster who at 5'8 is going to be leading our pest/checking line composed likely of Lemieux and Grundstrom. I have no idea how a little guy like him can infuriate so many players but the coaching staff loves him, he signed a friendly contract, not seeing them move him for Kerfoot with the Kings needing to save cap space to address top-line scoring and left-d improvements. I think the Kings and Leafs partnership doesn't work anymore unless they are willing to move Sandin, Woll, or Kalgren. We both are competing playoff teams now, I don't think our relationship benefits the Kings any longer as we are leaving our rebuilding phase and entering into competition.

"scoring winger" he has 3 points in 20 NHL games, but does very well in AHL. Jackets pretty much already have exactly that in both cases with Foudy

That Columbus trade is bad value even if they were open to moving Jenner, which they are absolutely not. He’s nearly the most untouchable player on the roster right now.
