There'd be a significant sweetener with Turcotte, since Boldy is pretty much an established NHLer with more top 6 certainty.

Turcotte has lots of potential but so does Boldy, and only one of them is an established NHLer. LA adds.

I think ARI would look for a package involving a first round pick, even though the value is fine there. I really don't see LA moving Kempe honestly, seems pretty counterproductive.

The Canuck is going to post this as every one of your post are trolling other bases. Not a chance Minnesota would do this .

If they got Boldy who already has proven chemistry with Fiala, they don't have room or cap space for Kempe.

Wouldn't be averse to adding to the Boldy trade. Return wasn't the main focus of the ACGM, just the idea of keeping the two guys together.

All of my posts are trolling other fanbases? Since when? Do you have me confused with someone else?

The thing is this would never happen. it's not even realistic. Minnesota isn't trading boldy

Maybe I do, but I have seen other posts by you. There's nothing you can add to convince Minnesota to trade a point per game rookie superstar. It would be like Minnesota asking you for byfield and more

Fair enough. I just figured that since Minnesota's biggest gap is at center and that many of Boldy's points are likely the result of his chemistry with Fiala (who knows if he can keep that up now that Fiala's gone), they might be willing to swap prospects. It's not like I'm offering a chump in return. Turcotte is a top-quality prospect.

Dude boldy was a point per game rookie and was driving play. In no world is Minnesota trading him for a lesser prospect whose not done anything in NHL level. Minnesota would absolutely ask for byfield

Can't see LA trading Byfield, but thanks for the feedback.

What are the Wild going to do next summer? $14M in dead cap and he's going to need a new deal.

I share the sentiment that Boldy would be considered off limits. I actually think there is some thinking internally that Boldy was responsible for Fialas career year. I certainly do not share that and his play since 2019-2020 certainly corroborates the idea that Fiala is wonderfully capable with or without a player like Boldy. LA is going to be very happy with this trade. The ACGM Boldy proposal is fun for debate but I can’t see it happening.

Not that I wouldn't mind seeing Walker going to TO, I just don't think they can afford the luxury unless they moved Muzzin and I would still rather have him that Walker in the playoffs.

LOL. He scored 60 when he didn’t have any linemates. Any one of your Cs essentially puts his floor around 70. You guys got a good one.

There's been a lot of wingers that haven't had the best chemistry with Kopitar and have been unable to score on his wing. Here's hoping that Fiala is different.

Just pointing out the dire straits that the Wild are in. They're forced to trade Fiala because next year there's $12.7M in dead cap from Parise and Suter...the following it's$14.7. If Boldly plays as good as he did his rookie year.......He'll get too much money for the Wild to pay. He was on a 68 point pace. That'll be $7M+ himself. It's a tough situation and I feel for MIN fans. Forever in the playoffs, but never more than a few rounds.

I feel like he’d be great with Byfield. Lots would happen off the rush and Q can set up net front while Fiala makes the play happen. It’s a good fit.

Umn no , he would get money rookie gets after coming off elc. He would be restricted so he would have no right and Minnesota can pay him

Dumba and Kulikov are pending UFA. That’s $8.25M right there.

But you're also trying to get better...not worse. Losing Dumba isn't a good thing.

I think more than anything, we’re trying to setup for the post-dead cap era, which is also Kaprizovs last year. So I think taking a small step back is fine, if it better prepares us for those later years.

Of course Guerin and the front office is going to say “we have every intention of being just as competitive,” but part of that is just necessary lip service to the fans and players. I do think they believe it to a certain degree, but there’s also no way they prioritize almost anything over extending Boldy.
