Oh wow this sure looks like a stellar team. All the trades make sense, as well as the signings, sure do seem possible. Only a loud mouth no nothing would criticize this team!

I don't think the past 3 seasons of Gibson is worth that much. I'd sooner take a hedged bet on Matt Murray in either half retention or if he's bought out and becomes FA.

No pick going back in the wings trade. Mrazek costs the first alone

Too much for Gibson.
Ottawa turns down the Kase for Brown trade.
I doubt Engvall fetches a 2nd. But he is a good player.
Would hope they keep Knies, but it would take a lot to get Miller.
Paul, Giroux, Marchement all sign for more than that - Paul 3-3.5m a year, Marchement 4-4.5m year, Giroux 6.5-7.5m a year
Sandin more than likely gets the match Lily contract or at least more than you gave him.
I assume Lyubuskin also gets 2-2.5m a year.

I am sure there are other things I am missing also.

I think there could be a convo to be had here but it starts with losing the retention slot for 5 years

It will not cost a 1st to get rid of him. 2nd at most.

I usually give a 2nd and get a 6th back.

Jackets aren't going to pay anything to take on almost $12 mil and 2 years of Muzzin as a 3LD. It would cost the Leafs a significant add for them to consider taking him.

I don't think that trade works for Vancouver with the cap hit and the prospects coming back. We'd want a young RHD and equal or less dollars towards the cap.

Mrazek has 2 years left at 3.8. A first might not get it done for Detroit. Two years of bad goaltending. Can't burybin the minors since Cossa will need a better mentor there.

I'd also point out, the trades are pretty reasonable but I think the Miller trade might take more. Giroux is not signing that cheap.

None of this is really reasonable. All free agents take a discount to play in Toronto and deal with that pressure and media? Not likely.

I honestly think value wise this is a solid haul. Topi, Robertson and a 1st is pretty good. 400K is somewhat negligible. I get it’s over 5 years, but I think that’s doable even for ANA

It will cost a 1st if you're sending him to Detroit.

Muzzin has a NTC. He isn't waiving for Columbus. I say this as a Columbus fan: no one on a contender is waiving to get traded to Columbus.
