Of all the places Kadri could sign I’d guess Winnipeg is about the bottom or the actual bottom of his list

I doubt Kadri would sign in Winnipeg or that the Jets give enjoy Dubois away for nothing.

Kadri isn't signing in Winnipeg unless they go maybe 8x6 and they aren't doing that. Even still, can't imagine he'd want to go there.

You guys seriously need to unload PLD, Wheeler and Sheifele. Get players who want to play defense, aren't toxic and want to play in Winnipeg.

Sucks that those guys are both top 6 centres. Those don't grow on trees. But if you can unload those guys and get Kadri. All the power to ya!

I think it’s very clear he’s going back to the Avs, just waiting on a move to open cap space

Kadri is 31, that would be stocking the dumpster, before you set it on fire

I don't see the draw for Kadri to Winnipeg unless they give him silly money of 9m aav.

Sadly, nobody wants to play in Winnipeg lol

Terrible weather. Sub-Optimal Politics. Great Fans.

Keep the ones who works hard and want to stay and nuke the rest.

they should have sold a few of these guys before the TDL in my mind.

Is Silfverberg done? If so WPG can use that cap space somewhere else.

Ha! Funny way to put it, I like Kadri and think he'll be good for a couple more years but yeah its just signing a sooner than later anchor.

He isn't signing in Winnipeg anyway, this is some clickbait rumor on a hockey site, cant see it having truth to it.

This PLD contract today is to make him easier to trade, he must really want out.

For Kadri to be offered anything more than a 1yr deal, the Avs would be forced to trade TWO players over the life of the deal; one of these players is guaranteed to have more than one year left on their deal at the time they are dealt.

This is simply not the M.O. of the Sakic/MacFarland era.

So maybe he takes a 1 year deal and goes for a cup one more time before taking a bigger payday next summer…

Silfverberg is the Anaheim version of Jason Zucker. When he's healthy he's a useful middle 6 forward and a good vet in the locker room. But that's maybe more an "if" he's healthy vs "when" for the last two seasons. There isn't any reason though to think he won't start the season playing as it was a blood clot in his leg that ended his last season. It sounded like he could have played a few games at the end but with where the Ducks were at there just wasn't any point in doing so. They did the same with Max Jones.

All that said, Anaheim has no interest in Wheeler. Defensive issues, massive 2-yr contract, etc, etc.

IDK about that - Avs are extremely reluctant to move out a big contract to make room and Kadri wants more than the Avs can afford. I think he's waiting for his preferred deal and, while he's running out of options, there are a few teams that could end up going after him.

Don’t get me wrong, every team needs a kadri, especially when you have an elite Center in front of him, but at this career point, he needs to get somebody to over term him and over pay him. Jets definitely not at that point. Kadri probably going to perform well for 2/3 more years than probably still be effective at lesser minutes, kind of similar to a stastny, but jets can’t make that gamble especially at his ask. Kadri isn’t coming either way, it’s kind of a null and mute point. Jets do anything surprises you this off season? Lol. I still think Dubois ends up in Montreal by training camp, hughes has a list that he wants gone and he’s going to try and stick winnipeg with as many as he can, with limited amount of what he deems valuable. Kind of a change of scenery/last guys misfire list, Hoffman/drouin/mailoux, possibly dvorak. Some one better check chevys pulse, time for some action.

Other than the Dubois drama I'm not surprised that they've done nothing, typical Chevy summer.. lol

I get most guys don't want to play in Winnipeg but I seriously wonder if Chevy even tries to sign anyone or even knows who might be good targets, he apparently says he's content with this team and thinks its good enough, he's delusional if he really does believe that.

There's some interesting UFA'S still out there, some of the RFAs that weren't qualified would be interesting additions if Chevy would actually inquire.

Some of those guys the Habs want to move would be fine with me, Dvorak, Drouin, Mallioux, add in Florida's 2023 1st and maybe another piece like preferably a center prospect and I'd be fine with that. Maybe I'll be wrong but I just don't see the Jets getting a better return than that, is some team giving a better package or their A-prospect for Dubois as a rental?
I just don't see it.
