props to you for creating this list. HUGE effort, hoping for your sake that lots of people see it lol
the biggest thing i see is at the top of the list. seeing nemec over slafkovsky, wright, and cooley is an interesting take considering nemec did go at 2 and slafkovsky at 1
Solid list. From a Flames fan perspective I think you have Pelletier a little too low, at least not 22 spots behind JJP IMO. Peterka played on a line with Quinn who was a higher rated prospect than both (rightfully though), I don't think that should separate the 2 of them so much considering how close those 2 were all season in the AHL rookie race. Not to mention Pelletier's strong 2-way game.
Also I think Kerins or Poirier may be worth an honorable mention

Peterka really didn't play with Quinn last year. Not a whole lot when I was watching them anyway. Not disagreeing with you on your point though, although as a sabres fan I don't think JJs numbers really showed his full potential last year.
solid work as always! the thing im most surprised about is berggren not making the top 100. i feel he dominated wherever he goes and the reason he is still in the minors is because detroit did not want to rush him when they are rebuilding. what do you think of him?
Looks great and a lot of opinions by ppl. I just think Shane Pinto should be much higher. I guess it’s time for him to prove it now
Big unknown since their is not much to go off of last year. Upside would have been playing a full season in NHL, and would not have qualified for this list. Downside would have been demotion to AHL, remains eligible, but plummets.

My pre-draft rankings (listed here) had Nemec 1st overall.
I kept those four guys (Nemec, Slafkovsky, Cooley Wright) all bunched together on purpose.

0 chance he ever sees an ahl game. One of the best 10 game debuts I’ve ever seen

Peterka is a year younger and got better as season went on. Pelletier faded a bit down the stretch. And hard to dock JJP points for playing with other prospects. Stockton did score more as a team than Rochester, especially early on. Peterka also has small size advantage.

A year younger should not take away that they were both rookies playing in the same league. JJP wasn't prevented by CHL rules from joining the AHL in his D+2 year.
I agree Stockton had a very solid team last year. I don't have an issue with JJP being ranked higher, my point is 22 spots higher is a lot for 2 very similar caliber prospects

He has developed slowly...but if that's part of the plan, he could prove me wrong. Other 2018 draftees have more explicable reasons (ie Marchenko was under contract in KHL, JBD was in college) for not making NHL.
I don’t think Suzuki makes this list anymore. I’d rank Drury Gunler Seeley Kochetkov ahead of him from a canes perspective. Plus probably a couple of the guys drafted this year.

Age is a factor. But its also that Pelletier faded down the stretch. I don't have the numbers handy in front of me, but I believe he went from ~1.2 ppg in first half to about ~0.7 in second half and playoffs.
(Also, the CHL rules are what is slowing the CHL player development down. They really ought to be changed....but thats another topic)

I understand your point but I do think defensive game should be a factor as well then. When he was drafted he was mostly talked about for his defensive prowess, his offensive skills have also just happened to develop very well. I don't think he will win the Calder but if he wins a top 6 spot on the Flames and they are competitive then I could definitely see him being the "Jeannot" of this years Calder race
