Canes pass. They aren't moving Necas or a 1st for a rental.

A very easy no for Winnipeg. There's nothing there needed or wanted by the Jets.

Not close for Hughes. He would start with Nemec+

It would take a 1st to dump Bailey and Panik, why would the Canucks add Garland for nothing?

Don’t think the Canes move Necas

I like Garland, but I wouldn’t move a first for him. Isles need to acquire younger talent thru the draft imo. Garland is good, but he isn’t worth more than Bjorkstrand imo and I wouldn’t pay to dump bailey anyway.

It might’ve taken a first if Lou wanted to sign Kadri that badly. Clearly he didn’t. I wouldn’t be shocked if Bailey’s trade value has fully recovered by the deadline lol.

Carolina passes.

Bailey and Panik have negative values, So it's basically Garland for a Mid 2024 1st round pick.

Winnipeg passes.

Pretty pathetic offer for Quinn Hughes, Zero chance of the NJD moving Dawson Mercer. The rest outside of NJ 2023 1st round pick hasn't got much value.

For the Canucks who already aren’t in a great cap situation it takes at least a 1st. Maybe another team would take less but not the Canucks

I’m not saying ur wrong. It just seems like Lou wants a pick to move Bailey and not the other way around lol.

The extensions r brutal imo. Mercer and a first isn’t really a bad starting point tho. I would probably consider a Hughes for Mercer and Nemec swap tbh.

I think Garland is a much better all-around player than Bailey, he's basically played at a 50 pt/82 GP pace since coming into the league, he's 26, and he's signed for 4 more years at a cap hit that basically matches Bailey's. If Vancouver called and offered this I gotta think you accept in a heartbeat.

If there r protections on the pick then yes. But I doubt they want to do that.

That trade is an easy yes. Panik is worthless and Bailey has negative value, so it probably costs around the 2024 first to dump the two. But instead of dumping them we get a good, young winger in Conor Garland back? Sign me up

I didn’t c it was the 2024 pick at first. If it’s top ten protected then yes I agree with you.
