Why is Calgary paying a 1st and 2nd for 4th line players?

Lucic cap hit with nothing retained basically mandates a first round pick to even have a chance to be accepted

Ok and what about the cost for Calgary taking on Foligno's cap hit?

That's a pretty easy no from Buffalo.

That's a pretty easy no from Buffalo.
First, any team accepting an 8 for 1 deal is usually going to lose the trade.
Second, Rooney, Lewis, Toffoli, are 29, 35, 30 yo and scored 12, 16, 49 pts last year respectively. Based on production and age, what value do they add to Buffalo?
Third, Zadorov, would be a LHD to fill in for Rasmus; Zary, is a decent prospect but the picks (2024 2nd, 2023 1st and 2023 2nd) would most likely produce little value.
@Matty2005 you know how to make a decent trade with Boston, why did you decide to make a terrible trade with Buffalo?

I know you did not.
I think I have said this many times in the past.
I value your opinion and was hoping you would provide additional insight to the value of my comments.
Because I can read, you merely stated the obvious.

Oh I think the Dahlin trade is troll af, I choose to ignore it. Not worth commenting on. That trade was also not there when I made my first comment. Same with the Dach OS which would obviously be matched

yeah I dont see how that helps Buffalo unfortunately, although would be nice as a flames fan haha. Although I think they are looking for a more 2 way depth D now that we have Weegar, Ansdersson, Tanev and Hanafin. Plus you traded away our little bit of toughness on the back as well, and only have Kylington in the bottom pair, so I cant see them going this "weak" back there.

The Lucic one, I like the htought and I think the Bs would be all over this one, but the guy saying that you have to add a 12st for Lucic is obviously not looking at the deal. Yes, a 1st plus Lucic for FC maybe, but two points. Unlike Monohan, there is actually interest for Lucic. Dtill overpaid obviously, but still has a role that he plays well. So even for FC, probably wouldnt take a 1st to move if thats what it took for Monahan with higher cap hit and lower value. The other guy makes the clear point that we are taking cap hit back as well. So of course Boston would be down for this, but ultimately I cannot see Calgary doing this one either. But I know as much as all of you so who knows haha.
