Hard to imagine the circumstances under which we'd have any interest in Tanner Pearson -- we have veterans Adam Henrique and Frank Vatrano and youngsters Mason McTavish and Max Comtois at LW, and even if we moved one of them into the center, we'd still only be playing Pearson on the third line in preference to Max Jones, which isn't clear.

It would depend on whether the Ducks could flip Pearson at the deadline. If say they were able to get a second round pick for him at the deadline with retained salary, then they turned a third round pick into a second and a 5th. It's still an upgrade in draft capital.
