Trade one is pretty brutal for Buffalo tbh. I wouldn’t trade Jokiharju for two seconds WITHOUT taking on Zaitsev.

it probably costs at least a 2nd to dump zaitsev, is jokiharju only worth a 2nd?

Taking a guy being investigated in the Hockey Canada 2018 WJC scandal isn’t the best move imo

LA is looking to do a Durzi+ for player trade, not a Player+ for Durzi trade.

We wouldn't be interested in Asplund, as he is behind 5 or 6 left-handed wings including three top-6's and we already have 14 forwards on the main roster in addition to Alex Turcotte and Rasmus Kupari, and we probably won't be trading Durzi unless we get an equivalent LhD back; Dahlin and Power are obviously too much and Samulesson may not be enough.

Taking a guy being investigated in the Hockey Canada 2018 WJC scandal isn’t the best move imo Hockey Canada executives told a House of Commons committee Wednesday that they've paid $8.9 million for sexual abuse settlements to 21 complainants since 1989.

Durzi and Iafallo for what from the Sabres.
Buffalo could use a RHD and Iafallo grew up 20 minutes from Key Bank Center.
Power, Dahlin, Tuch and Thompson are not available.

You're not going to trade us your 2023 first and you probably shouldn't trade us your 2024 first; Cozens and Quinn are almost certainly off the table in addition to the 4 youngsters you named; and I don't think that we want or need Olofsson or Asplund. About the only deal I can see making sense is Alex Iafallo for one of your two early 2023 seconds, your 2024 third and Samuelsson. Adding Durzi would make the exchange much more expensive.

Outside of Dahlin and Power, there's not much Buffalo has the LA wants. UPL maybe, but I wouldn't give up Durzi and Iafallo for that.

Mitts isn't a 4C, in this Cozens would have to be 4C. Also, Power is LD2, and Samuel. LD3 with Lybush,

A high-quality center prospect, probably. They have enough wings and defensemen in the system and pipeline.

That might be tough for Buff. I don't think they give up on Mitts, especially if he is going to be the only LH C in the top 9, in now and hopefully future. Maybe someone they Drafted this year? We still have Laskiinon (spell) here in ROC and Fitzgerald who I like, was just curious with Lundkvist. I'd eventually like the top 3 LD to be Dahlin, Power, Samuel.

I don't think that the Rangers expect to get someone in the NHL now for him. They might have eyes for Kulich or Ostlund. I don't know if you want to go that high.

Personally, I think your top 3 at LD is set for the next 5 years.

Well, I meant Dahlin, Power, Samuel. at LD, then I agree, but not with Dahlin at RD, and that's nothing against Bryson. Maybe short term, but I'd go Joki, ??, LyBush at RD, hoping someone like Fitzgerald or Laskinon gel with Power.

I know what you meant. Dahlin, Power and Samuelsson is a trio I can see being together for a long time, is what I meant.

It will be interesting to see whether Ryan Johnson signs after his senior year at Minnesota. If he does, that should absolutely cement the left side of your defense for quite some time.

Yeah there will be options, as this is Samuelsson last year, still RFA I believe, but they have LD that they could trade.
