If the Canucks can clear out cap to afford Holl; they'd have to take that I feel

What is your logic, You give up a 2024 5th for a Penalty Killing RhD who is very good at preventing zone entries & isn’t making over 2 mil

We just don't have the cap space for Holl is the issue, I also just don't see him beating out anyone on our right side for a spot in the top 6

He beats Poolman,He Beats Myers what more do you need?
He is a very reliable defender & great on the PK (which is important to the team that ranked 30th in PK % last year), he is a good shutdown guy & for 2 Mil you can’t really complain giving up a 5th

I highly implore you to compare stats between your RhD & Holl you’ll be surprised how underrated he really is

He might better than Poolman but i doubt we want to scratch poolman with him making 2,5mill he definitely isn't better then Myers, our PK was ranked so low to being historically bad under Green, Our PK was 11th under Boudreau, and the fact we only have 1mill in cap space means we literally can't afford Holl value might be fine but we just don't have the space for Holl

If you want to make the playoffs your pk has to be better. Mikheyev is a good start. He is okay on the pk but awesome at turning it the other way. Holl would help in the defensive department.

With the market right now it's difficult to see Holl or poolman getting a return. For that reason they probably just hold on to their own Dmen.

I can't see Edmonton taking that for poolparty. The market for moving cap is bad... so who knows.

He also i think has requested a trade so leverage is not in EDM’s ball park & Pool Party wants Top 6 Min where-ever he goes & wants it to be a contender most likely too

You might be a little lite on the Puljujärvi trade other wise it's fine

I went off of this on SN with comments from Professional scouts in June 2022 , before the market got even worse Here is a sample of replies:

    • “Probably more like a third (round pick) for me. I think they only way they get a second is if it’s a late second or the team has multiple seconds and can get rid of one for a flyer on him.”

    • “Should be able to get a second.”

    • “Puljujarvi is the equivalent of a third-line player with some upside.”

    • “If you can get a second (round pick), take it.”

2nd or 3rd seems the most likely for his value but i doubt if he is traded to a bottom barrel team because there is 0 reason for him not to request another trade which defeats the purpose so i see it being a trade to a contender as Pool Party would be a reclamation project in a way, thry say he is a “play killer” but thats not what Toronto cares for he is elite defensively & very underrated in that stat-line cause tbh the oilers forwards playing D suck except for a few of em

Looks decent, VAN should find the room for Holl, he would be ideal there and TOR should pay a late pick to a 4th Team to retain the 25% on Kerfoot instead of doing it themselves.

Kerfoot @875k for 1 season is good value to me. The EDM offer for PJ might be light, but they do need cap space and barring a Trade of Foegele or Barrie, which might negate the necessity, Puljujarvi makes the most sense to be Traded for whatever they can get at this point

Maybe PK Subban signs a Team Friendly $800k deal in TOR. Sandin should only get $1.25-1.4mil/yr and split time with Giordano for load management

Anaheim isn't going to waste one of their retention spots for a 5th, we have plenty of rentals this season to ship out.

I don't think you'll see Puljujarvi traded for draft picks, regardless of what you might have watched on SN.

There PK isn’t a big concern. It was above average under Boudreau an since then they’ve added Mikheyev, Lazar, and Joshua. I don’t think they need a PK specialist D man

I believe that stat was after about 30 or so games from beudreau. They ended up about 6% under league average. Not the distaste green started. I'm not saying they need anything. But they do need to be better on the pk. On paper Vancouver looks good up front but that defence isn't an easy fix and I don't think throwing Holl at it fixes much,

You have Myers and Schenn and then Brady Keeper and Tucker Poolman. You can't really believe that the latter two are superior alternatives to Holl, nor are the two left-handed potential migrants (Dermott and Burroughs).

We only have a million in cap space even if we wanted to trade for Holl, Dermott or Poolman are more then likely 3 RD and i don't think Holl is a huge upgrade on either
