He isn't. He just resigned and their right side at the moment with Gudbranson is off to such a rough start, they are going to need Peeke. Plus I already tried this type of proposal where I traded Sandin 1 for 1 and the overwhelming amount of people still said no.

This trade would happen in a year not now but looking at Columbus their Right Side is stacked with guys like Jiricek,Cuelemans in the pipeline plus Boqvist,Blankenburg & Gudbranson in the line-up already. I think in a year Jiricek will be in the league playing Top 4 Minutes as a rookie

I doubt if he is due to his low cost extension. But really, is he better than Holl this season. Take a look at Peeke's record. I know Leaf fan are fascinated with bottom end, RHD on non playoff teams.

You'd have a better shot at Boqvist than Peeke, but that doesn't really solve your needs since he's basically a winger who skates backward. I imagine the plan is to tread water for a season or two til Jiricek is ready for 1RD, hope someone in the logjam works out at 2RD, put Peeke on a third pairing shut down pair, and buy out Gudbranson.

I agree at this point his record isn't better than Holl's record. The Leafs just can't afford Holl this season.

its not clogged though. Blankenburg has played a grand total of 7 NHL games, Jiricek was just drafted last year and not on the NHL roster. Cuelemens isnt even signed to an ELC yet

Gudbranson Boqvist and Peeke are their Right Side Dmen, If anything moving Peeke wrecks their RHS depth

Gudbranson seems like an excllent guy, but not worth his contract. Unfortunately, I think it will end up being, if, not when CBJ buys him out. If Jarmo knew how July 13 would play out, I doubt they sign Gudbranson.
