I love trades with an incredibly unnecessary middle man. There’s no reason for Vancouver to not just take Parayko

Hard to imagine Vancouver having any interest in 4.9 years of Brendan Gallagher when they already have five-years-younger Brock Boeser playing the part of underachieving RW. I think that the Canucks will bet on Boeser returning to form, and a higher form at that, rather than Gallagher.

So Vancouver gets the worse, older and more expensive player and all they get is a meh prospect?

Canucks would much rather Parayko, given their crisis on D and the fact that their D is bad. We don't need or want Gallagher and his albatross contract

Why would the Canucks give up Garland to acquire one of the worst contracts in the league? They would much rather take Parayko in this scenario

Your proposal totally favors Montreal and is bad for Vancouver and St Louis. If Montreal wants to trade Gallagher and his terrible contract, they will have to give up draft picks to do so. I think at least a 2nd for each year left on the contract.

How did Vancouver go from the the younger, better, cheaper player to the older, worse, and more expensive player while simultaneously missing out on the RHD that is the only player in this deal that they would be interested in?

The perfect 3 way trade. OP’s team gets all the good players and the other teams get fleeced

St. Louis would have to pay Vancouver to take Parayko. He's an average 2nd pair D-man at best being paid like an average top pair defender for 7 more years beyond this one, and he's already 29

Horrible offer for the blues. Parayko plays the toughest minutes on our team and we get a winger we don't need and a meh prospect. We already have Kyrou, Tarasenko, Buchnevich, Saad, Barbashev as our wingers

Bruh tf you on, Parayko play execllent defense provide offense and eat 25 minutes a night. I give you hes not the most conisitent playerin the world cause if he has a bad game then its really awful/

I rest my case then. If you think Parayko is a positive asset, then I want whatever you're smoking. He provides barely any offense

What are you talking about, lay off the drugs my guy.
Do Quinn Hughes and Elias Petterson not provide defense either?

Pettersson is pretty elite defensively. Hughes is still developing. I do not agree that Parayko is a negative asset though

Of course they both provide defense. I don't see the apples to apples comparison. Deal with it, Army screwed you guys over with that Parayko extension
