I understand you like the young pieces and all but if you add Eichel and Miller too your forward core from last year and you just might have taken out tampa...that is a pretty nasty top 9

The Eichel trade is still debatable. That 1-2 punch down the middle would be nasty. It almost doesn't matter who is on the wings as long as they can keep up.

Eichel is playing at over a ppg pace not sure why you think that would be a dumb trade, the Rags would actually have two top 6 centers.

Trocheck is not a Top 6C? If not he sure makes a better case for himself than Ryan Strome.

Doing one of those trades would have been good for the Rangers really. Both never made sense.

The only issue with that is that form of thinking reminds me of the 2010 NYRs trading away anything of value for the new shiny toy on the shelf (no matter how old that toy may be).

Would you rather have Zibanejaad-EIchel or Zibanejad-Trocheck? Personally Zibanejad-Eichel looks a lot better to me

Sabres still take Vegas's offer. No interest in Krapo, no Tuch like player, Vegas's 1st was higher and Buffalo already had traded for Levi no interest in Garand

I don’t think that package would have won Eichel though.

    Tuch > Kakko
    Krebs > Othmann
    1st, 2nd = Garand, 1st

Would be another piece (or better piece) in there somewhere.

Strome on the wing > Strome at 2C. Hoping the Ducks get McTavish up there on a line with him at some point.

Well first, that wouldn’t have gotten Eichel
Secondly, u guys would win the Cup if u had him
A scoring center like him is exactly what u guys need

    You’re not wrong
There’s no way that would’ve gotten it done
The Sabres decided that Kakko & Lafreniere weren’t gonna cut it as the major piece coming back for Eichel (wingers),
and that pretty much killed a deal with NYR

It was actually never that close to happening with them

Why so we can giggle at you for putting Andy Welenski's name there.
