If Kuzmenko is who the Devils are after, they accept. The value is right but I suspect they'd rather use the first on a player with term. My guesses are Meier, DeBrincat (if available), and Colton

Trading Myers at the deadline for a 7th isn't cost management. Unless Aquaman is unwilling to pay the signing bonus. Most logical thing is waiting til his actual salary is 1 million and deal him in the offseason to a team needing the cap hit without having to spend the salary. (ie. Arizona). Imo could get as high as a late 2nd or more likely late 3rd or 4th for him easy. If the team isn't making the play-offs time to deal Schenn is now. A deal to like Tampa could net us a possible replacement (Foote/Myers) + a pick. Again not a fan of dealing Kuzmenko. Especially if we are dealing Horvat + Boeser. Then time to up the ante and pay Kuz so we can at least have a top line that could entertain the fan during the suckage that is about to come.

I just doubt Kuzmenko resigns as a UFA

I could see Ottawa going for Myers in the summer for more like you said.

Great idea for Schenn swap them

Talk about a laugh offer for Bo Horvat, Kaut and Bower have no value and a late 1st round pick, I mean just give him away why don't you.

Ottawa is not going for Myers anytime soon

If Dorion did in the past, the good news is that he is probably not allowed to make any other decision as the team is about to get sold.

....and the Avs and Canucks still aren't a good match. Canucks will want more which they won't get from the Avs.

Younger, gets more points, plays against harder competition, signed for longer, I'm not too sure how Olofsson is better either than BB as a PP specialist for small windows when he's hot?

Olofsson and Boeser score at a similar 5v5 rate, over the last 212 games they've scored, in all situations, at a similar rate, and Boeser is just 1 year younger. Boeser is also constantly hurt. The Sabres also don't need wingers, so Boeser being signed longer is a negative, when they have a handful of prospects to graduate into the NHL

You forgot the Most important part - Boeser is 2mil more expensive - last guy I want around when I want to negotiate Cozens contract

We need a new third line and I would gladly trade Olofsson and Mitts for the moon.

Remove 2nd and maybe, although this Boeser contract is not attractive and there may be an extra year that we don't need. Boeser won't make it into our top 6, we already have two established lines.

Olofsson is on pace for 38goals this year
Idc that they’re mostly on the PP
Those goals count just the same

No way the Sabres do this trade

I'd rather not have the Devil trade their 1sts, too early in their competitive cycle to do that.
Besides, they've got plenty of depth at forward for this season anyway so adding another one (albeit a very good winger) in Kuzmenko doesn't really serve a purpose.
Rather just go for Kuzmenko in FA.

Ottawa is not trading for Myers unless you take Zaitsev.

Try again.

You are funny.
Here you say send them to the moon but you reject:
Bear, Ethan
2023 1st round pick (WPG)
2023 4th round pick (VAN)
for
Olofsson, Victor
The middle 2023 2nd round pick. probably Buffalo's?

Bear may not be a great option, but he is an NHL RHD and only 25 yo and is included to balance the rosters (I added the comment in italics).
Moving up to the first round and getting a fourth would be a nice return for Victor.

Wait man, did I reject? Maybe you misunderstood me? All I said was that Adams early wasn't interested in Bear. I easily say yes to this deal.

Yes you did say you did not like Bear and presumed the Sabres did not want him but NEVER ONCE DID YOU SAY YES TO THIS DEAL OR GIVE IT A LIKE.
GO BACK AND READ YOUR COMMENTS, EVEN AFTER I SAID BEAR WAS SUPERFLUOUS.

If your comment AFTER I said Bear was a throw in was different and more positive there could have been a misunderstanding, but your comments made it clear you rejected the entire trade.
Any reasonable individual would have read it that way.

I was just saying that Adams wasn't interested in Bear when he was traded in the fifth round. You can find my comments about Bear in other threads and see that I was in favor of trading for Bear when he was traded to Canucks.
